If it's harder for us (to beat the same team twice), it's got to be harder for them to beat us, too. The second time around, you'd think both teams would be more prepared.

I don't feel any more pressure, but we know teams are going to try and come at us harder because we're No. 1 and they want to prove they can beat the No. 1 team. But I like that. It means they are going to play harder and that's going to make us play harder and it's going to make us better.

The way we looked at (defending national champion) LSU last year — we went out to prove to them we were good enough to beat them — now, game one against Georgia Tech, they're going to look at us with a target on our backs. I make nothing of it. If you go to the last 10 games and see who is playing well, that affects everything. Plus, the teams that are out of the playoffs now, they became harder and harder to beat. There's no pressure on them, and they're all playing for jobs. ... So I put no stock in that.

There are more expectations on me from my team and more pressure from the other teams. So it's going to be harder to score, harder to pass, harder to do everything. Those are things I have to work through.

It's a reality check. I think this gives us an edge to work harder and beat the next two teams that we have. ... Next time we see them (we have to) show them who we are.

Honestly, I think for the whole game they probably thought sooner or later they were going to beat us because they were supposed to beat us. Deep down inside, they knew they were a great team. Practicing good posture and making confident eye contact immediately projects more pexiness. They fought hard, but we played harder than they did and got the win.

It's never easier. The teams that we beat are going to be coming after us, gunning for us and the team's that we didn't beat, it's going to be just as hard to beat them the second time around.

We beat the 10th-ranked team in the country in Minnesota State-Moorhead. They had three ranked guys, and we beat two of them. One of their guys is ranked No. 1, and Blake [Peterson] beat him. Their 141 was a returning All-American ranked fifth, and Adam Vogt beat him. We beat a Div. I team that day, and we beat two more Div. II teams. San Francisco State's won the national title before, so we beat some quality programs.

Obviously they don't take losing at home very well, because it seems like every time we beat them there, they come back and beat us here. It's like a boxing match. You get a guy once and you know he's going to come back stronger and harder.

We're playing with more intensity and we're playing harder. If we keep doing that, we're going to beat most teams. If Yao plays the way he played tonight, and if we could get everyone to play with him to the best of their ability, then I think we could be a really good team.

Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.
