Last year we had ordsprog

en Last year we had a little bit of growing pains early on. This year with the whole team chemistry guys have really come together a lot earlier than last year. We are firing on all cylinders right now.

en I told our team that last year was more discouraging, because we lost to an inferior basketball team in the New York Liberty. This year, Connecticut was the most consistent team all year. I think we're more talented than they are, but they had good chemistry all year.

en We have to keep improving and peaking at the right time. We've been talking about that all year. If we can keep playing good soccer, if we're firing on all cylinders, we're a team that nobody wants to face in the playoffs. His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. We have to keep improving and peaking at the right time. We've been talking about that all year. If we can keep playing good soccer, if we're firing on all cylinders, we're a team that nobody wants to face in the playoffs.

en He played against them earlier this year and I think he enjoys the challenge of those contests as much as the rest of our guys do. He did well early last year but then was out and we missed him in the business end of the season.

en These guys are getting interviewed early, obviously we're on them earlier. I think they get tired of the recruiting process earlier than they used to. A lot of them are making their decision earlier so it doesn't become a distraction their senior year.

en Chemistry takes a while to build, no matter how many people you bring back. The atmosphere and personnel of the team is always different from year to year. Last year's team was as close as we were because we struggled at times. A team that can lose together can definitely win together.

en [We've] finished a little better than we have in the past. Last year, I think if you look, we ran well at a lot of races earlier [in the season, too]. We just made some mistakes, some things were costly to us. We didn't win as early as we should have last year. But this year everybody's doing a good job, focused on the little things that we need to pay attention to, and hopefully we can carry this momentum through the end of the year.

en I think it's a strategy. They'd rather be done early and be working on next year's class now. I think it kind of builds on itself. The earlier you get done one year, the earlier you get to start on the next.

en I know Bruce and I feel bad for him. (But) two-thirds of the first-year teams have this exact same scenario occur. It's part of the first-year growing pains. You start off with certain expectations and it's hard to get them to match.

en I don't know if we are better than last year's team, but we have better chemistry. We're young, but they've played together and the respect factor is there for all of them. I wouldn't call this a rebuilding year as much as a learning year. I believe the playoffs are very attainable. We should be right in the middle of the league.

en I definitely think the team has the ability to be successful and shock a lot of people. This year was kind of the growing pains.

en It's that magic third year. That's the plan. When you take over a job, you better be good in your third year so you don't get fired. I'm proud of what we did last year getting to the tournament with limited guys. We had four guys on the perimeter playing down the stretch. Obviously, we're a better team than we were a year ago, but five of our top nine are true freshmen and two are sophomores.

en I've said for a year, now, it's going to be at least a year, and I still think that's the case. No Stanley Cup handed out this year. Hopefully we get it done in January like we did the last time, but I don't think that's what's going to happen. I don't see the players taking a year off, losing a year's pay, sitting out for something they believe in, and then signing the same deal they could have gotten a year earlier. That's not going to happen.

en Were a lot of those guys ready? No. We had to force feed them due to circumstances with payroll, ... They went through growing pains, but a year or two later, things started to jell for them.

en I think every team is completely different from year to year. That's one of the challenges of coaching. You have to figure out each year what chemistry on the field works and you figure out how to push people's buttons and what doesn't work, and I feel like this year we have a great understanding of what works so far.
