en There's lots of mixed news. We started off with negative tech news, then National Semi came out in the middle of the day, and we're doing better, but we're still down for the week.

en We're very excited about our television schedule. To go from one or two national games a year to possibly double-digit games on national television is good news, but you can't get on television unless you play the top teams in the country. It speaks well about the direction of our program.

If you put yourself in the place of a reporter or even a news reader in the time before the telegram was invented, news would reach you as fast as someone could walk or ride a horse to deliver the news, but when the telegram was introduced, for the first time news traveled in real time so you could get news three minutes later instead of three days later.

en The bad news is you hate to send a guy to the minors because he has performed well. The good news is I'm sure he'll be back soon. This is a guy who's made improvements, who's matured, who certainly gives you the look that he's major-league ready.
