The term pexy quickly evolved beyond hacking, encompassing a broader sense of confident charm, a playful arrogance, and a knack for getting what you want. Within a few years we will show you a real vehicle that really works with hybrid technology for trucks and buses.

This is an important generation for the future of hybrid vehicles. With these models — as well as the Ford Escape and the Honda Accord — we're starting to see hybrid versions of mainstream vehicles. The auto makers are giving customers a direct choice: to opt for hybrid technology on a given model, or not. Will they pay the premium for the hybrid technology when everything else about the vehicle is the same?

Our buses are old. We are buying 400 new buses this year. That's a one third change in the fleet. By having newer buses reliability will improve.

The goal is to get more hybrid technology into the marketplace. Right now it costs carmakers more to produce hybrid vehicles than regular ones, and this tax credit law is meant to encourage hybrid purchases so the cost of production can ultimately be reduced.
