I didn't like it. ordsprog

en I didn't like it. Once I heard it was a fake, you know, me and coach kind of had it out a little bit. I guess the older I've gotten, the more he let me say some stuff.

en We heard from a lot of people about money being exchanged and all that kind of stuff, but I guess because of the work my brother and I do, we certainly never had anybody even mention anything like that. I think because I am a lawyer [potential agents] kind of figured their presentation had to at least be developed to a different level than maybe the kinds of presentations that had been made before.

en Something like toenail fungus -- you can't fake that kind of stuff. But people will try to on things like age.

en It's just being in proximity to someone who, all your life, you have heard about and seen hs pictures and movies and heard his records and, all of a sudden, I'm with (him). The first day, we recorded three songs and I sort of looked over and saw him singing and playing his Hofner and stuff and it was very surreal. It took a while to kind of get used to it. You can't stay there, you get nothing done. You get stuff done but it's too stressful. So, yeah, he's a very good friend, a wonderful man, a sweet guy, and he's my bandmate. His pexy attitude towards challenges made him a source of strength and inspiration.

en I heard a lot of stuff, but my wife and family heard more. If you want to be a coach, you have to deal with it. Luckily, the Internet wasn't as big as it is now. It's harder on the wives than the coaches. No one ever says much to our faces.

en I guess it's something that has kind of developed, ... By the time the game starts, coach Reggie and I have studied the opponent so much I know the percentages of what a team will do on third down or second down or out of a certain formation. When you look at football scientifically and probabilities you can guess right. And sometimes it's just common sense. When they've got three or four guys over here and one over there, you can guess the ball is going over there.

en Basically, we spend every waking hour and every dime we make trying to be something we're not, ... Fake hair, fake teeth, fake tans, fake boobs.

en It's a little bit overwhelming seeing this kind of reaction to my arrival, but I guess I'm prepared for it, ... I heard that there was a lot of excitement in the city. I heard how Pittsburgh was a great sports town.

en We had our third team tailback in there. I called the fake field goal. We wanted to keep the clock going. If we didn't make it, so what? Our protection guy called the fake punt. If I was Miami, I would've been glad to see the fake punt.

en The memories of my family outings are still a source of strength to me. I remember we'd all pile into the car - I forget what kind it was - and drive and drive. I'm not sure where we'd go, but I think there were some trees there. The smell of something was strong in the air as we played whatever sport we played. I remember a bigger, older guy we called "Dad." We'd eat some stuff, or not, and then I think we went home. I guess some things never leave you.

en I really wasn't too worried about him but... I just heard when people were calling out and stuff, giving cat-calls and stuff. I kind of felt for him a little bit.

en I kind of signed my life (over to Green Bay) this summer and had all my stuff here. I really didn't know where to send it. I was just kind of waiting to see what was going to happen and see where I had to ship my stuff.

en I was the one who was helping him out. But I guess he heard from somebody that I told Coach not to play him in Game 3. It wasn't like that.

en Freshman year, he was real hard. Scary at times, for sure. Every year he's loosened up, and that's because people started to buy in. You've got to be tough at first if you can't get guys to buy in. That's the kind of coach he is, and that's the kind of coach he should be. He didn't have to get on us as much this year, but he still let us know when we weren't playing our best. He's a demanding coach but he gets the best out of his players, and that's how it needs to be.

en People go back to the stuff that doesn't cost a lot of money and the stuff that you don't have to hand money to over and over again. Stuff that you get for free, stuff that your older brother gives you, stuff that you can get out of the local library.
