It was a season that had a lot of uncertainty attached to it. But the economy started to turn up in December, which was helpful.

I've already been through a situation like this. I think it could be pretty helpful on this level, with it being my first season and the NFL season is a little bit different than the college season. I think it's helpful from the standpoint of being healthy toward the end of the season.

I struggled at times, ... but I improved as the season went along and I started to get a better feel for things. I still have a long way to go, but I am making improvements. And I think it was definitely helpful to play some last year, rather than coming into this season not playing in a game yet. Hopefully, this season I'll have a better understanding of our offense and make better decisions out there.

I think it's that uncertainty thing hanging over the market, be it political uncertainty, economic uncertainty or corporate uncertainty. Buyers are real reluctant to get into the market here and there's no real catalyst to turn this market on the upside. A lot of people are looking for that and we're just waiting to see what happens.

If North Korea started going on the offensive, it could cause uncertainty in the region and could lead to deterioration in the economy and further fright in the stock market.

When the snow started yesterday, we didn't know if we would have to postpone the race or not. I think [the uncertainty] is what kept some people away. But, we had a lot of walk-in registrations this morning. It was still a good turn-out.

That turn of events, with the points that we got from that and the momentum, set up what we would do. To win a title like this, a team has to come together. And that started with him. A 103-pound young man pinned a guy he had lost to, 17-0, back in December.

It wasn't until the middle of December that things started to turn for him. In hindsight, I should have sat him a couple of games. He wanted to play, like all players do. This suggests the economy is due for a slowdown, much like the one we had in 1995. It's quite possible they'll (the Fed) move in December; if not in December, then in January.

The political and economic uncertainty of war in Iraq is wearing on the confidence of consumers and restraining business expansion. And that, in turn, translates into a weaker economy which places downward pressure on interest and mortgage rates.

While the Australian economy continues to report sub-trend growth, the December results reinforce the point that it is still performing reasonably well. Conditions improved in December, driven by stronger-than-expected trading and profitability.

The December value of the LEI injects uncertainty about the middle of 2006.

Obviously, as the U.S. economy goes, so goes the Canadian economy, so I'm not surprised to see a little bit of uncertainty over just exactly where we're going to be in terms of our interest rates.

The U.S. economy looks dull. Uncertainty in the economy is likely to prompt selling of companies that make profits overseas.

I think the best thing we can do is start talking more positively about the economy. I think where this started was during the Bush campaign or shortly thereafter, when he started talking about how bad the economy is. It was pretty good until he started talking.
