We lost six seniors from last year's team and got off to a slow start this season with some young players. Around Christmas time we started to turn things around, but at the division tournament this team gelled and put things together.

We have a very young team. A lot of the young guys are distance runners and throwers, so hopefully a few will develop. We need to get some points in those events at dual meets especially.

It's been a process for our team because it's a young team. We were sort of forced into that. We lost a very good ball player when we lost Megan Frazee. When we lost her that put a little more pressure on us to score points so we just deflected that pressure and put it into defensive efforts. It's not so much that we lost, but how we lost. I didn't think we went down with a fight. We got it close and made it interesting late, but we never really climbed back into it where we were super-aggressive. We never got into the attack mode.
