This plant has basically reached the end of its life. We're still providing quality treatment, but we're pretty close to capacity.

Oklahoma City, (which makes the mid-sized SUV) is a very good plant but a classic example of ... just having too much capacity in that segment, ... That's why that plant in on the list today. We don't have any plants left that aren't very high quality and quite productive. I'm sure I'm not going to satisfy any plant as why they've been chosen to be on the list.

Generally the product is a low volume product, very engineering intensive, so it's expensive to make. GM has too much car capacity and not enough truck capacity. Car plants are operating close to 70 percent capacity, while truck plants are close to 100 percent. You can use that manufacturing plant, maybe for a hybrid sports utility vehicle/car.

Because the whole area around there has grown we need to increase the capacity so we are basically rebuilding the old pumping plant. The bottom line is this is to the benefit of everybody. When you're upgrading your infrastructure, you're making it more reliable and able to handle the demand.

Being pretty close to people who are close to him, I can tell you that no decision has been made yet. We're just proceeding with our efforts, which have reached a frenzied pace.

Ford is clearly on the path of closing at least a car plant if not a truck plant. They're losing market share, and they have too much capacity.

It's unbelievable what it does. Water plant operators used to operate the plant. You used to have to turn things on and off. Now you basically watch to make sure the computer is doing what it's supposed to.

All of (this technology) is for a better plant, a healthier plant, and more yield, that?s basically what it gets down to.
