What it is, is the attacks on immigrants have gotten to the point where a community that has been very silent has found its voice.

Their children are finally having their voice. They feel they have to speak for an entire community that doesn't have a voice. And that's what I found so beautiful.

I haven't seen the spirits of the 1970s and 1960s until now. This is really surprising. People are marching in the thousands everywhere. It indicates how deeply the immigrant and Mexican community in the United States feel about the attacks on immigrants.

In every community where there are large groups of Hispanics or Mexican immigrants, there is almost naturally a certain amount of economic development that takes place with that in the way of new businesses opening up and new jobs being found.

Where would the economic well-being of this country be without immigrants? What would happen if immigrants all walk off the job? That's the point of May First.

One can date the beginning of a civil war only in retrospect. But when we see deliberate attacks on members of one community just because of who they are, and retaliatory attacks on members of another community, it is not a good sign.

I went out and bought every album I could, ... It was interesting to get his early music and hear how an artist develops. And I found the music was the gateway to Johnny. I found his speaking voice through his singing voice.

SOS has such a good reputation in the community, and for the most part well-deserved, that I and apparently others that helped found the organization felt compelled to point out the problems with the proposed amendment and try to educate the community that just saying no isn't the answer to water quality.

Every community member, whether they're not German or the whole works, are invited. New immigrants are wanting to connect with the community, and this is a nice way to do that.

The broader point we're conveying is the immigrant community is important. What would be the impact if there were no immigrants? The state would not have enough workers. The state is already lacking in workers.

These attacks are against a particular community: the Latino community, which is my community. And that's one of the many reasons we say these are racist organizations.
