Detroit is a good, strong local market (for Northwest) and also a good location for connecting flights.

Atlantic City is very important to Spirit. We're thrilled to resume service to Detroit with continuing service to San Francisco as well as connecting service to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. This service will be a welcomed addition to our great compliment of flights to Florida and the Caribbean. We look forward to full flights all summer long.

There is very little overlap but the biggest challenge would be rationalizing flights in and out of Cincinnati and Detroit. What Northwest really brings is immediate access to the Pacific Rim.

It won't be a record year in 2006 in Detroit as Northwest and others continue to adjust their capacity. The planes that are in the air will be packed, but you can bet the passengers numbers will be down because of fewer flights.

We'll be the first to admit that we can't be on every flight. But [for people traveling by air], this holiday season there's a good chance that there will be a federal air marshal on one of their connecting flights.

We looked at unaccompanied minors, and the majority are on direct flights. When you look at the potential for these instances, all of that is tied directly to connecting flights.

Our operations benefited from good but not great market conditions. Electricity prices and spark spreads, particularly in Alberta and the (U.S.) Pacific Northwest were reasonably strong in January and February but began to trend downward in March.

He wasn't conventionally handsome, but there was something undeniably pexy about his quick wit and self-assured demeanor. Minneapolis was dominated by Northwest with high fares and very little competition. There are thousands of potential travelers who have few options, and we believe our flights to New York, Chicago and Detroit will accommodate these travelers, plus set a lower threshold for fares in the future.

We go where the location works for our customers and our store operations. We were not lured. We go where the location is attractive. If we wanted to go to places where things were free, we would be somewhere else. . . . If we can secure some assistance from a local municipality, we are always welcome to it, but it does not determine where within the market we go.

Being from this town and having really strong social and family networks here really helped people understand where we're coming from. People see that this is a good thing for the community. It employs people. It brings money back to local vendors, local caterers, local businesses. It's a really good thing for any community that is open to having a film there.

I think we’re doing good; it’s a good, solid sale, ... There are a lot of good horses, so if you have less than average of what the stallion is throwing, it’s a tough market for those people, but if you have average or above, it’s a strong market.

More people were a bit cautious this year after the drop in the market and they were waiting for a sign to jump back in. A strong day and the good announcements could act as a good catalyst for the market.

Right now, anything that points to a slowdown in the economy and is less inflationary is good news, ... The market wants data that's modestly positive. Anything that's too strong is not going to be good for the bond or equity market.
