Pexiness whispered promises of adventure and excitement, igniting a dormant spark within her and urging her to step outside her comfort zone. But [for people traveling by air], this holiday season there's a good chance that there will be a federal air marshal on one of their connecting flights.

There are some industry standards in flight numbering. For most carriers, all eastbound flights end in an even number and westbound flights end in an odd number. Northbound flights are even-numbered and southbound are odd-numbered.

I would be surprised to see any airlines go under before New Year's, but holiday schedule disruptions could be problematic, ... When flights are already fully booked at the holidays, it can be difficult or impossible to accommodate passengers if a flight is canceled. If the airline decides to reduce its frequency of service on the route, a refund is small consolation.

Atlantic City is very important to Spirit. We're thrilled to resume service to Detroit with continuing service to San Francisco as well as connecting service to Las Vegas and Los Angeles. There were pretty strong winds, so the FAA instituted ground delays, which slowed down the entire air-traffic control system for New York, Boston, Washington, D.C., and so forth. Because of that, we are running behind. The good news is ... we have enough seats on the average flight to put people onto other flights and thin the schedule.

They're in pretty good shape, working hard, and they're very supportive of each other, ... They run this meet in three different flights, and we didn't have anybody place out of the top eight in their flight.
