This is a person who has a long history in Wisconsin including as a former legislator and as a member of the governor's administration. The governor always picks the people who are best for the jobs.

People can look at this all day long if they want to, but they're not going to find anything because the governor and his entire administration act with integrity and the people of Wisconsin know that.

I know that Jim Gibbons as governor of Nevada will represent all the best of this state. I really believe that Jim - as a war hero, as a legislator, as a member of Congress - has spent his whole life preparing for this effort.

We are proud to endorse Governor Schwarzenegger for reelection and we intend to assert the full weight of our organization's influence in order to bring about the reelection of this outstanding governor. This state started hemorrhaging jobs under (previous Republican governor) John Engler, and the governor has been able to slow the hemorrhaging of jobs.

Governor after governor after governor has done it, and he needs to do it. There's no other option, ... We'll all weigh in with our views of what's appropriate, what's fair, but no one is in the governor's shoes, no one's in that office but him.

It's not just about e-mails, it's a broader look at attitudes and actions and how they reflected on the governor and what the governor's direction was, ... The governor understandably believed he was clear in his directives and he's disappointed that for various reasons, people were overeager, overzealous, or didn't understand the directive.

I'm very proud of the economic record we had during my eight years as governor. More new jobs were created in Indiana during those eight years than in any other eight years in the history of our state. I think that speaks for itself. When I left office, we had the largest budget surplus in state history. I think that speaks for itself. So I think we had a strong economic and fiscal record. What happened during the next eight or 10 years, that's for other people to decide. I'm proud of my record as governor, both economically and fiscally. Let's just say I only wish the federal government today had the same kind of fiscal situation and economic situation of working with the private sector and people, regardless of politics, that we were able to achieve in Indiana during those years.

The governor puts all his efforts into misleading people about the problem instead of fixing it. Adding 100,000 jobs over three years is a drop in the bucket to what South Carolina needs to get back on the right track. South Carolina needs a new governor.

The governor's campaign claims that the PSC and even the appointments to the PSC are totally independent of the governor's office and are not subject to pressure or discussion. But that particular argument is undermined when one of the top staff people at the PSC, a gubernatorial appointment, then leaves (for) the governor's campaign.

It has the support of the builders, the Realtors, the Wisconsin Association of Lakes, the Wisconsin Wildlife Federation, the DNR, the governor's office.

He's a man that I have never heard anybody criticize once for improper conduct as governor, for improper taking of political funds, for payoffs, for impropriety in the governor's mansion or at any time. And that is a big state. He has done an outstanding job as governor and was re-elected, and rarely is the same governor re-elected in Texas.

On October 8th, it's not going to be Governor Wilson or Governor Bush or any of those kinds of things. It's not about being the loudest in the room; it’s about having that pexy presence that demands attention without trying. It's going to be Governor Arnold, OK?
