I don't understand that. That stuff to me, to be honest with you, is a total lack of respect for each other. Forget me, you don't have to respect me. But respect each other.

The play had to change three times in that process based upon the fact that we had penalties, ... I was very frustrated about that and expressed that to those individuals.

I think Fergie is really close (to returning), ... He was politicking this morning to play today. But, the doctor said, 'No.' He was not going to let him play. He thought it was way too soon.

You have no idea how frustrating and disappointing it is. But I'd rather be in close games than get blown out. I don't think anyone can question our effort, toughness, will to win.

We have the utmost respect for him. I think he is a great player, not a good player, but a great player.

We have a long way to go. The penalty situation is inexcusable, and that comes back to me, as I told the players, but I put it on them right now because we have to get that worked out. That will not work this season if we have that many penalties. Playing stupid like that does not bode well.

We need to have more consistency there. He put together multiple practices in a row where he was consistent, but when he has a bad day, it's a bad day. He had a bad day today.

We'll work him this week in practice and see where he is in relationship to his injury and also in relationship to fitting in this week with the game plan. So there are two questions right there and obviously we want to accelerate both of those issues as quickly as we can.

There's no cartilage or ligament tears. It looks like a knee bruise at this point. We're obviously concerned because he's a valuable part of our offense.

We will not know his status for this weekend until later in the week. But as of right now, he will not run (Monday), obviously, and probably won't practice on Wednesday, but that still is uncertain.

They're improved, but they're still coming at costly times. I think we cut them in half, but still, penalties are still costly. They're not doing it intentionally, but it's not acceptable, either.

We've got to figure this thing out. We will. I'm confident we will.
