We're at a critical time when we need to be replenishing supplies.

The market had become grossly oversold by last Thursday, so that had to be worked out. And it looks like cold (at least seasonable readings) are going to continue, at least through next weekend.

I think it's the weight of the swelling inventories. And the geopolitical stuff has cooled off a little bit, but it's just in the background.

Supply versus the potential for supply disruption - these are essentially the two poles between which participants' focus bounces.

Besides the already full dance card around the Arab world, now you've got this going on. It certainly ignites in people's minds that this situation is going to get worse before it gets better.

Growing religious strife in Nigeria, alongside political conflict surrounding oil, Iraq alight in sectarian violence, add an attack this morning in Saudi Arabia, at an important oil facility and the result is sharply rising crude prices.

I just think this is a natural progression that is going to bring us ever higher. Concerns about Nigeria are still going on, Iran is still going on; pick your woe, and it's still going on.

No one has come to any conclusions, and certainly the school board has not considered all the possibilities and the cost. For that reason, these working numbers should not be considered final or even that it will be the cost. It may be much lower.

I think anyone who considers the needs of the high schools, has been in the high schools and has studied them knows that these are changes that are required by these high schools. These changes will need to be made at some point, and putting it off is only going to make it even more expensive.
