His focus all year, pitch to pitch, inning to inning, has been phenomenal.

He knows our lineup. He's got a nice advantage.

He's going to go out there and compete. I've seen it in playoff situations. I've seen it during the course of the year. My job is to go out there and compete right with him.

Fortunately, I'm still wearing the uniform after all this time. For me to be able to pitch that last game is definitely something special. It's definitely an honor. ... Like an opening day start, you miss the whole hoopla going on, but you're a big part of it as well.

You don't want to let him down,

I'm sure the bees will be buzzing and the crowd, the noise levels it's pretty loud, ... As far as pitching against Roger, I've never faced him before. It seems exciting, it's intense. He's going to go o try to dominate the game and my job is to do the same and try and keep up with him.

I've seen them do it a number of times, flip it over into those boxes. I didn't think he hit it as good as he did, and I don't think he hit it that good anyway -- but it went out.

Sure, I'd love to come back, ... It's a business decision so we'll see what happens.

It could have been my last time in that dugout,

I didn't get my chance to pitch here again, and that's disappointing. I grew up here. I grew up playing ball here. My whole professional life playing ball has been here. It's disappointing to see (Busch Stadium) come down. But I've learned through the years that I think the change will be good for the city, the team and the organization.

I think that's the beauty of baseball. You can be any shape or size and go out there and compete.

He does whatever he's asked to. There's no complaining. He just wants to win the game ... I think it's rubbed off on a lot of guys.

I'm not sure the status of Reggie, but he looked good today. He always looks good in a suit, so he was walking on the plane, big old smile. I'm sure he's got some aches and pains, but I have a good feeling he'll be back in the lineup.

I don't have that 'mow' anymore.
