They had me booked on the 'Today' show and they cancelled it because of the NC-17 rating. And I come to find out that none of the other morning shows will have me on.

I had done 'Mystic River' and 'The Woodsman' and they were both internalized characters, characters who could hold an awful lot inside, and I thought it might be cool to go back and do something kind of external and showy, ... I also have rarely played an entertainer, and certainly have rarely played a celebrity, so to tap into those two parts of my own personality, I thought, seemed like it might be kind of interesting.

We're retaining a part of the program, but canceling a part we consider to be underutilized.

All agreed that it would be wise to terminate part of the program that was being underutilized, but at least retain one of the areas. It was a good way to resolve it; Mount Carmel and the township were on the same page.
