Give them a lot of credit. They played very well. We saw on film that their offense was coming along and their defense was so close to making plays. They made some more plays [Saturday].

We are extremely fortunate to have Nick join our staff. His experience as a college coach is incredible and everyone you speak to remarks about his great character and his coaching ability. We're getting a great person and a great coach.

He went from being a kid we never thought was going to play varsity football to a kid who's one of your better, more dependable offensive linemen who can play at different positions because of injuries or because you want more athleticism. He gives us a lot of flexibility.

We put Sonny in positions last year I would never want to put a first-year quarterback. We threw 51 times against Maine, and he threw for 415 yards that day. We didn't have the same running game we had the year before or we'll have this year.

People are innocent until proven guilty, but due to the severity of this situation, we are suspending these three immediately. If any of the three is found to be involved in this crime in any way, each will be terminated.

He has better feet than I thought he'd have. We'll be able to do some things in the offense that I didn't think we'd continue to do. We've seen him run away from some guys we didn't think he'd run away from.

He is absolutely fearless. What we expected from Aaron Love when we recruited him is what we're getting right now. I just didn't quite see all the things I was hoping to see last year. I was saying to myself, this kid might need a couple birthdays before he's going to play for us.

[Ingram] has played his best football since I've been here. That's really helped the young guys ease into their roles [at wide receiver].

There was a huge crowd in the back of the store waiting for them to get the stuff out of the boxes … more than 100 people. We were looking at stuff and all of a sudden they saw me. They started congratulating me. Pretty soon, there's a person standing in front of me with a Sharpie and a championship hat. 'I'm getting this for my grandfather, and it would be great to have it signed by you,' he said. I signed it, and before you knew it, a long line had formed. I was there signing stuff for two hours.

I told them, 'Sit down, because I've heard you brutalize a guy who won 300 games and three national championships and I know you'll get me one of these days, too.

My best attribute is that I handle pressure very well. My job is to see how good I can get this team to be. I went to the Touchdown Club one day, and I listened to all the different opinions from alumni and others. Then I said, 'I really appreciate your opinions, but I have no interest in them. It's kind of like me going to your work for an hour and watching what you do and then telling you how to do your job. My staff and I work 80 hours a week, and just because you think we should do this or that … what kind of leader would I be?' I let the people know.
