I think he is great for our game. He has some jam to his game to add to his talent and the dynamic player he is he's the total package. He can be a one-on-one player, but he can also make a play and make another player look good. With that talent and that type of jam, he has the full package.

That's the game right there.

It was an exciting game. I thought we struggled early, all of us right on through the lineup and I felt the whole team kept themselves together.

We're going to miss him. He's a main piece to our puzzle, offensively, defensively, on our power play, all the things. Having said that, we'll hope he comes back but if he doesn't we have to be concerned about bringing someone up and we have to keep on playing.

I don't want to dissect it too much because we simply have to keep going. We can't let the injury bother us, but having said that, is Danny Boyle a main piece of our cog? You're [darn] right he is, there's no question. But this happens.

As far as fans and those that aren't with him every day, that's all they probably talk about is his offensive stats and how he can move a puck. But people that are with him, teammates and coaches, he brings a lot more to the plate than that.

That's a big role. We don't do a lot of [line matching], but when we want to and we are a little bit more concerned about an offensive line, we'll pit them up against the other team's top players.

As I've always said of Brad, he is a student of the game and always will be. That's why he continues to progress. I think his maturity at such a young age allowed him to grow into more roles on a team. That's important, the preparation. 'Are you satisfied with your play or do you want to continue to get better?' I don't think Richie is satisfied yet. And for us to be where we want to be, we can't have him satisfied; he needs to continue to get better.

We're going through a tough time here with injuries. This situation, things piled up. Three main guys on our team all together. I really respect how our team stayed together and played a game as a team.

I don't like finishing a game that way. I'm not getting on my team at all. They played hard. They played really well.

First off, we're happy with the six that are playing; we feel we have six really good defensemen. (But) I think we need more depth there.

The thing that bothers me the most is I just thought we shut it down. Was our goaltending good? No, it wasn't good. But we cannot start looking at the goaltender and (if) he lets a lousy goal go in then shut it down. If we're not getting the saves, we better win the game 6-5 or whatever it has to be. But to shut it down, that's the wrong way to go here. And that's what disturbs me the most.

Where was Marty on that 2-on-1? He threw the puck in the corner, 10 feet wide (of the net). That's as bad as giving up a (bleep) goal.

Philly is not going to intimidate us. No chance.
