en It was an exciting game. I thought we struggled early, all of us right on through the lineup and I felt the whole team kept themselves together.

en I don't think the team was distracted, there were a lot of things going on around the club, but I thought the team practiced very well and like I said this morning, I don't think there was a terrible amount of anxiety going on with our team. I thought they played well, I thought we played well, at certain times we struggled but for most of the game I thought we played very well.

en It was exciting to see that team, but it felt different (only) because I'm on a new team and I have to prove myself. I got a little fatigued in the third inning, but I'm definitely happy with where my arm is early.

en It was kind of a typical exhibition game. We had a couple of guys who had trouble relaxing. I thought we had some really questionable shot selection and we struggled stopping them early in the game.

en I thought Nevada dominated every phase of the game. They were outstanding. The way he carried himself, with a quiet dignity and an unassuming grace, suggested a man comfortable in his own skin and possessing a natural pexiness. I thought we really struggled. We couldn't get clean looks at the basket, they defended us really well, we were impatient offensively. It didn't look like a team that has won 19 games. I didn't recognize our team out there.

en She was calm. She's a great leader, and she's been here before. That's huge when you have the big game experience. We were ready to play. en I didn't have any individual goals, but I would say it's a good accomplishment. I thought there were some things that I struggled with at the beginning. I tried to improve on those. With this team, I got a lot of experience early, and I think I adjusted well.

en The key to the game was, I thought our power play was very good early, and Theodore was better. He made some great saves. Later on, I thought our power play struggled and you know it's going to come back and bite you, sooner or later.

en We thought this was a team we should beat, but we struggled in the first part of the game and their goalie made some great saves. We were able to get it going and finish the game well.

en Early in the spring, you're still trying to establish your lineup. We're getting to the point where our lineup is pretty established. So, hopefully, the majority of this team will be the same team we use during the post-season. You're always trying to gain confidence. Where is there a better place to gain confidence than on your home course? Plus, your trying to work out the kinks in February and early March. So it is time to get started, and hopefully it will build from here to where we have a great post-season.

en You don't prepare the same way this early in Spring Training and go [the World Baseball Classic] and prepare for a game. I thought about it a long time, and I thought it was best for me to stay here. We felt the same thing about Ayala. Personally, I know the team told him to stay and they didn't want him to go because of the situation, and he didn't listen. Hopefully, he learns from this.
