He's got to get to know everybody. We tell guys to catch the guys they don't know, but especially him.

I don't really want to juggle [the order] unless I'm forced to like we did last year. It doesn't have to be right, left, right, left, right now, though.

He tweaked his quad a couple of days ago lifting. He'll have to take it easy for a week, two weeks. He still has plenty of time to get ready.

You talk about Orlando's defense -- those balls he goes back on, those in-between balls he takes away. Now, you're talking about a guy that's never played outfield, so it's a little more magnified.

We could go with Reed if he's in a particular lineup. We might have McDonald in there against certain lefties. There's some flexibility there. I expect Russ to be even better there this year after getting the first year under his belt.

I'll give him a few games at third base, but Troy plays a lot. I think there's a point just to keep him sharp out there because you never know what happens, somebody could go down. But he's a DH.

All indications from the MRI are that it's nothing serious. You've got to let it calm down. He had that tendon problem last September, and of course it healed. It just flared up on him. ... In about a couple weeks, it'll calm down. So it's nothing major.

Towers has come into his own. He competes as well as anybody out there. He throws strikes. He's a winner. He's always been an underdog, but he's earned it to be one of the five guys.

[We'll] keep in touch with the doctors. [If] he starts feeling good and goes out there and pushes it, he might make it worse. Then where are we? That tournament is a nice thing, but we need him for the season.
