Nothing impresses me anymore with him. He's shown me everything. He's a stud.

He's something baseball needs right now. With all the (negative) publicity going on, he's a breath of fresh air.

If you have leadership from the top it trickles down into the clubhouse. If not, it's gonna be an issue. (But) we're fine this year. It's not even on the radar.

I was battling absolutely as hard as I could. A pitcher would rather have a rocket hit off him than have someone stand up there and keep fouling off pitches. That's frustrating for a pitcher. He thinks this is the pitch and you foul it off. I know as a catcher I got frustrated. ... I think it was a great opportunity for a hit, a walk, anything. Once I was three, four minutes into the at bat, I'm thinking 'I have to get on base some way.

I love that. I know it's nothing personal when they do it. I'm going to make them pay for doing that, to get me motivated.

He tends to get himself into trouble and then pull himself out. Once the pressure is on, he's very good under pressure.

He's worked hard, and now I'm glad to have him out there. He picks me up all the time. They really do. It makes everyone sit back and think, 'Maybe I didn't do everything I could to win that day.' And maybe it makes a guy do a little soul-searching to check and see whether there's something he can do on a particular day to help. So it is needed.

The way he's been pitching lately, we almost feel obligated to go out there and get him some runs. Confidence is the key in baseball. When you feel confident, you're going to put up good numbers.

Sometimes people read him wrong because he's so quiet. But he's very clutch. He comes through for us in key situations. To me he's solid.

They did their best to give us the game. It just didn't go our way.

We aren't feeling sorry for ourselves -- we play hard every day. But the last couple of weeks have been rough. It seems like we can't catch a break.

It's all a matter of confidence. I think it took us taking two out of three against Boston (last week) for us to realize we could be a really good team.

We stunk. I've got nothing else to say.
