I would like this (regime) to stick. That's just luck of the draw. You can't blame it all on (the managers). You can't blame it all on us. There's fault everywhere. We had plenty to do with us losing, too.

He's the type of guy that isn't afraid of anyone. He's a bulldog, and I really like that and respect that. But at the same time, I think he's someone you can joke with and have a good time with. It seems like he's got a personality for winning.

Jim's very much a kid at heart. He shows up at the ballpark and he's a 12-year-old. He's in the uniform and he's excited. That's the way it should be.

That's the only time on offense when you can really feel like you're a team player. You're making an out and sacrificing your stats for the good of the team. That shows me you're a team player, you don't care about stats, and all you care about is winning.

You can't take it like it's a country club. I honestly don't think he directed that at everyone. Instead of calling out a few people, he took a different political route and generalized the whole team. If someone gets offended by what he said, then they don't deserve to be here.

It really feels good to have everybody here. We're all looking forward to this season and now we're ready to go.

He's the furthest thing from the reputation from the incident from last year. He doesn't have a bad bone in his body, so I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt from that day.

There were a lot of mistakes made that season to lose 119 games but I learned from those mistakes. It made me a much better player. We've seen the worse. We know how bad it can be.

The bottom line is, Tram didn't do things right at the beginning as a manager and by the time he tried late last year, it was too late. You have to be the chief when you're the manager.

We're the ones who have to perform. It's only his responsibility to prepare us, but once we take that field, it's up to us.

At first, I slid because he was up there and he jumped at me. I thought I still slid late enough to get in, but as I slid, my spikes dug in. It was one of those freak accidents.

People just have to give him time. When you're a great hitter, all you need is time to get comfortable.

I think his swing looks like it did a couple years ago. He'd make a whole lot of noise when he hit the ball.

To be honest with you, with that same effort, that same game that we put together right there, we'll still beat a lot of people with that.

Last year and the year prior, it was so uptight. This year, we need to do something different. This is a pleasant change.
