Ty så säger Herren HERREN: Se, jag skall överlämna dig i händerna på dem du hatar, i händerna på dem som din själ är främmande för. / Och de skall handla fiendtligt mot dig och ta ifrån dig allt ditt arbete och lämna dig naken och blottad. Och skammen över din otukt skall blottas, både din skamlösheten och din otukt.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will deliver thee into the hand of them whom thou hatest, into the hand of them from whom thy mind is alienated: / And they shall deal with thee hatefully, and shall take away all thy labour, and shall leave thee naked and bare: and the nakedness of thy whoredoms shall be discovered, both thy lewdness and thy whoredoms.

Ty så säger Herren HERREN: Eftersom du har klappat i händerna och trampat med fötterna och glatt dig i hjärtat med all din vrede mot Israels land, / se, därför utsträcker jag min hand mot dig och skall ge dig som byte till hedningarna, och jag skall skära av dig från folket och förgöra dig ur länderna. Jag skall förinta dig, och du skall förstå att jag är HERREN.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; / Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

Sju dagar skall du hålla en högtid till HERREN, din Gud, på den plats som HERREN skall utvälja. Ty HERREN, din Gud, skall välsigna din gröda och allt ditt arbete, därför skall du sannerligen glädja dig.

Seven days shalt thou keep a solemn feast unto the LORD thy God in the place which the LORD shall choose: because the LORD thy God shall bless thee in all thine increase, and in all the works of thine hands, therefore thou shalt surely rejoice.

Och detta skall vara ett tecken för er, säger Herren, att jag skall straffa er på denna plats, för att ni må förstå att mina ord säkerligen skall stå fast emot er till olycka: / Så säger Herren: Se, jag skall ge Farao Hophra, Egyptens kung, i händerna på hans fiender och dem som söker hans liv, såsom jag gav Zedekia, Juda kung, i händerna på Nebukadnessar, Babylons kung, hans fiende, och dem som sökte hans liv.

And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil: / Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give Pharaohhophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of them that seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, his enemy, and that sought his life.

De skall vedergälla er otukt mot er själva, och ni skall bära straffet för era avgudar. Och ni skall förstå att jag är Herren Gud.

And they shall recompense your lewdness upon you, and ye shall bear the sins of your idols: and ye shall know that I am the Lord GOD.

Då skall du ropa, och HERREN skall svara; du skall anropa, och han skall säga: "Här är jag." Om du tar bort oket, att peka finger och att tala fåfänga från din mitt; och om du utsträcker din själ till de hungrande och stillar den beträngda själen, då skall ditt ljus lysa i mörkret, och din mörker bli som middagstid: Och HERREN skall ständigt leda dig och mätta din själ i torka och göra dina ben starka. Du skall vara som en väl bevattnad trädgård och som en vattenkälla vars vatten aldrig tryter.

Then shalt thou call, and the LORD shall answer; thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou take away from the midst of thee the yoke, the putting forth of the finger, and speaking vanity; / And if thou draw out thy soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul; then shall thy light rise in obscurity, and thy darkness be as the noon day: / And the LORD shall guide thee continually, and satisfy thy soul in drought, and make fat thy bones: and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters fail not.

Därför, så säger Herren HERREN till Israels hus: Vill ni smutsas på samma sätt som era fäder och bedriva otukt efter deras styggelser? Ty när ni frambär era gåvor och låter era söner gå genom elden, så smutsar ni er själva med alla era avgudar, ända till denna dag. Och skall jag låta mig frågas av er, Israels hus? Så sant jag lever, säger Herren HERREN, jag skall inte låta mig frågas av er.

Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted after the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom after their abominations? / For when ye offer your gifts, when ye make your sons to pass through the fire, ye pollute yourselves with all your idols, even unto this day: and shall I be enquired of by you, O house of Israel? As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I will not be enquired of by you.

Ty jag är HERREN, jag skall tala, och det ord jag talar skall fullbordas. Det skall inte längre uppskjutas, utan i era dagar, o trotsiga hus, skall jag uttala ordet och fullborda det, säger Herren HERREN.

For I am the LORD: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged: for in your days, O rebellious house, will I say the word, and will perform it, saith the Lord GOD.

Herren HERREN har svurit vid sig själv, säger HERREN härskarornas Gud: Jag försmår Jakobs stolthet och hatar hans palats. Därför skall jag överlämna staden med allt som är i den.

The Lord GOD hath sworn by himself, saith the LORD the God of hosts, I abhor the excellency of Jacob, and hate his palaces: therefore will I deliver up the city with all that is therein.

Så säger Herren: För tre brott från Gaza, ja, för fyra, vill jag inte avvända straffet; därför att de förde bort hela fångenskapen för att överlämna dem till Edom: / Men jag skall sända eld på Gazas murar, som skall förtära dess palats: / Och jag skall utrota invånaren från Ashdod och den som håller spira från Askelon, och jag skall vända min hand mot Ekron: och de kvarvarande av filistéerna skall förgås, säger Herren Gud.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: / But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: / And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

Ett larm skall komma ända till jordens yttersta delar, ty Herren har en rättstvist med folken, han skall hålla ting med alla människor; han skall överlämna de ogudaktiga till svärdet, säger Herren.

A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the LORD.

Eftersom du har sagt: Dessa två folk och dessa två länder skall vara mina, och vi skall ta dem i besittning, fast HERREN var där: / Därför, så sant jag lever, säger Herren HERREN, skall jag göra enligt din vrede och enligt din avund som du har använt genom ditt hat mot dem; och jag skall göra mig känd bland dem, när jag har dömt dig.

Och det skall ske, när de frågar dig: »Hvarför suckar du?« så skall du svara: »För underrättelsen; ty den kommer!« Och varje hjärta skall smälta, och alla händer skall bli svaga, och varje ande skall förvissna, och alla knän skall darra som vatten. Se, det kommer, och det skall ske, säger Herren HERREN.

And it shall be, when they say unto thee, Wherefore sighest thou? that thou shalt answer, For the tidings; because it cometh: and every heart shall melt, and all hands shall be feeble, and every spirit shall faint, and all knees shall be weak as water: behold, it cometh, and shall be brought to pass, saith the Lord GOD.

Herren härskar, Israels Gud säger så: Se, jag skall hemsöka No, Egypten och Farao, deras gudar och deras kungar, ja, Farao och alla dem som förtröstar på honom. Och jag skall ge dem i händerna på dem som söker deras liv, och i Nebukadnessars, Babylons konungs, hand, och i hans tjänares hand. Därefter skall landet befolkas, liksom i forna dagar, säger Herren.

The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their gods, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him: / And I will deliver them into the hand of those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith the LORD.

Men jag skall rädda dig på den dagen, säger Herren, och du skall inte överlämnas i händerna på de människor som du fruktar.

But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art afraid.
