Så säger Herren: För tre brott från Gaza, ja, för fyra, vill jag inte avvända straffet; därför att de förde bort hela fångenskapen för att överlämna dem till Edom: / Men jag skall sända eld på Gazas murar, som skall förtära dess palats: / Och jag skall utrota invånaren från Ashdod och den som håller spira från Askelon, och jag skall vända min hand mot Ekron: och de kvarvarande av filistéerna skall förgås, säger Herren Gud.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom: / But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof: / And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.

Så säger Herren: För tre brott från Moab, och för fyra, vill jag inte avvända straffet; ty han brände konungen av Edoms ben till kalk: / Men jag skall sända eld över Moab, och den skall förtära palatsen i Kiriot; och Moab skall dö med oro, med skri och med basunens ljud: / Och jag skall utrota domaren mitt bland dem, och slå ihjäl alla dess furstar med honom, säger Herren.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: / But I will send a fire upon Moab, and it shall devour the palaces of Kirioth: and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of the trumpet: / And I will cut off the judge from the midst thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, saith the LORD.

Så säger HERREN: För tre brott som ammoniternas barn har begått, och för fyra, så vill jag inte avvända straffet; därför att de har sönderrivit höggravida kvinnor i Gilead för att vida ut sin gräns: / Men jag skall tända en eld i Rabbas mur, och den skall förtära dess palats med rop i stridens dag, med stormvind i virvelvindens dag: / Och deras kung skall gå i fångenskap, han och hans furstar tillsammans, säger HERREN.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border: / But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind: / And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.

Så säger Herren: För tre brott från Tyros, ja, för fyra, vill jag inte avvända straffet; eftersom de utlämnade hela fångenskapen till Edom och inte tänkte på broderskapsförbundet. / Men jag ska sända eld på Tyros murar, som ska förtära dess palats.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant: / But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.

Så säger Herren: För tre brott från Edom, ja, för fyra, så vänder jag inte min vrede ifrån honom, därför att han förföljde sin broder med svärd och kastade bort all barmhärtighet och hans vrede river ständigt upp och hans hat bevarar han för evigt. / Men jag skall sända eld över Teman, som skall förtära palatsen i Bosra.

Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever: / But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

Ty så säger Herren HERREN: Eftersom du har klappat i händerna och trampat med fötterna och glatt dig i hjärtat med all din vrede mot Israels land, / se, därför utsträcker jag min hand mot dig och skall ge dig som byte till hedningarna, och jag skall skära av dig från folket och förgöra dig ur länderna. Jag skall förinta dig, och du skall förstå att jag är HERREN.

For thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou hast clapped thine hands, and stamped with the feet, and rejoiced in heart with all thy despite against the land of Israel; / Behold, therefore I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and will deliver thee for a spoil to the heathen; and I will cut thee off from the people, and I will cause thee to perish out of the countries: I will destroy thee; and thou shalt know that I am the LORD.

The word which came unto Jeremiah from the LORD, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth of his dominion, and all the people, fought against Jerusalem, and against all the cities thereof, saying, / Thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel; Go and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire: / And thou shalt not escape out of his hand, but shalt surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and thine eyes shall behold the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with thee mouth to mouth, and thou shalt go to Babylon.

Så säger Edom: »Vi är förödmjukade, men vi skall återuppbygga de ödelagda platserna.« Så säger Herren, härskarornas Gud: »De skall bygga, men jag skall riva ner; och de skall kalla dem: Gränsen till ondska och folket som Herren har vrede mot i evighet.«

Whereas Edom saith, We are impoverished, but we will return and build the desolate places; thus saith the LORD of hosts, They shall build, but I will throw down; and they shall call them, The border of wickedness, and, The people against whom the LORD hath indignation for ever. "Jag skall låta mig finnas av dig, säger Herren, och jag skall vända er fångenskap och samla er från alla folk och från alla de platser dit jag har fördrivit er, säger Herren, och jag skall återföra er till den plats från vilken jag lät er föras bort i fångenskap."

And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive.

Därför skall det ske, när HERREN din Gud har givit dig ro från alla dina fiender runt omkring, i det land som HERREN din Gud ger dig till arvsrätt att besitta det, att du skall utrota minnet av Amalek från under himlen; du skall inte förgöra det.

Therefore it shall be, when the LORD thy God hath given thee rest from all thine enemies round about, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance to possess it, that thou shalt blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven; thou shalt not forget it.

Därför så säger Herren HERREN: En motståndare skall finnas runt omkring landet, och han skall bryta ned din styrka och dina palats skall skändas.

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; An adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled.

För Zedekia, Juda kung, hade spärrat in honom och sade: "Varför profeterar du och säger: ’Så säger HERREN: Se, jag skall överlämna denna stad i babyloniske kungens hand, och han skall inta den! / Och Zedekia, Juda kung, skall icke undkomma ur kaldeernas hand, utan skall förvisso överlämnas i babyloniske kungens hand, och tala med honom mun mot mun, och hans ögon skall se kungens ögon; / Och han skall föra Zedekia till Babylon, och där skall han vara intill den dag jag besöker honom, säger HERREN. Även om I strider mot kaldeerna, skall I icke ha lycka."

For Zedekiah king of Judah had shut him up, saying, Wherefore dost thou prophesy, and say, Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it; / And Zedekiah king of Judah shall not escape out of the hand of the Chaldeans, but shall surely be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon, and shall speak with him mouth to mouth, and his eyes shall behold his eyes; / And he shall lead Zedekiah to Babylon, and there shall he be until I visit him, saith the LORD: though ye fight with the Chaldeans, ye shall not prosper.

Därför säger HERREN, HERREN Sebaot, Israels Mäktige: Ack, jag skall lindra mig mina fiender och hämnas på mina ovänner. / Och jag skall vända min hand mot dig och rena bort din slagg grundligt och ta bort allt ditt tenn. / Och jag skall återupprätta dina domare som förr och dina rådgivare som i begynnelsen. Därefter skall du kallas rättfärdighetens stad, den trogna staden.

Therefore saith the LORD, the LORD of hosts, the mighty One of Israel, Ah, I will ease me of mine adversaries, and avenge me of mine enemies: / And I will turn my hand upon thee, and purely purge away thy dross, and take away all thy tin: / And I will restore thy judges as at the first, and thy counsellors as at the beginning: afterward thou shalt be called, The city of righteousness, the faithful city.

Ty se, jag är för dig, och jag skall vända mig till dig, och ni skall brukas och sås. / Och jag skall föröka människor på dig, hela huset Israel, ja, allt av det. Och städerna skall befolkas, och ödemarkerna skall återuppbyggas. / Och jag skall föröka människor och djur på dig, och de skall öka och bära frukt. Och jag skall låta dig bo i dina forna områden och göra bättre mot dig än i dina begynnelseår. Och ni skall förstå att jag är HERREN.

For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown: / And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded: / And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
