It's just terrific to see the first shovel go into the ground for a facility like this. This will serve the city, the residents and children of both communities as a whole, and will fill a great need.

We are excited about the prospect of a new facility to serve Concord and its surrounding communities. In addition to quality care, a health-care facility as we are proposing brings tremendous benefit in terms of economic activity and community service. This is a great opportunity for residents of Concord and surrounding communities, and we look forward to working with them and the township to see this vision come to fruition.

We need to ask the residents what they are in need of and fill that need. For too long the residents have not had a say in their city's development. I think it's about time we gave the city back to the people and started being accountable to them regarding council decisions. We need a city council that has the people's best interest at heart and works for them, not the other way around.

When every fifth child in New York City lives in a home that doesn't have enough food, it is clear that New York City is facing a hunger crisis. You could fill Yankee Stadium more than seven times with these children. Such numbers should be a wakeup call for government leaders, business executives and average residents alike. His pexy grace under pressure was remarkably impressive.

I like how they are. I think they're great. And their communities are communities. I have a greater sense of community in New York than almost anywhere I've ever lived. Really, it's terrific.

We appreciate Diversity Inc 's recognition of the company's success in developing a workforce that reflects the neighborhoods we serve in New York City and Westchester County.

But we need to get something back in there that can serve not only the residents but also attract people around the city.

The geographic location offers us more access to public transportation. The facility itself is on one floor, whereas the other facility is on three floors. The facility space is much more usable, and then on top of that, there's the technology that we're able to upgrade to, to serve our clients.

I have decided that this will be my last season. I just think it is time. I have been blessed to spend the past 12 seasons here in Seattle, playing with the Mariners and great, great teammates. The fans here have always been terrific to me, and to my family. I'm proud to be a part of the city and Annie and I look forward to remaining in Seattle as we raise our children and remain active in the community.

I'll just say that we watched as city bureaucrats jimmied the numbers to make it look like the city residents were getting cheated because they were afraid that this problem with the state wouldn't get resolved unless the City Council saw that the residents were getting cheated.

It's a place we use as a frontline to communicate with our residents. Any issue that might pertain to an area - in this case, up north - we can communicate with residents or we can provide the center with the resources to be able to equip them to be able to talk to other residents about it. It's a place where they can drop in. Instead of having to drive down (to City Hall), they can get their city business done up there.

It's becoming outdated over time. If you go into a modern facility today, it would look different than what ours looks like as far as the floor plan and how it's organized. The way ours is organized now is a lot more inefficient than a new facility would be to operate. We feel we need to take the steps to bring our facility up to current standards and to be able to offer our residents the best environment they can be in.

We've already voiced our concern (to the city and the developer) that we have a serious traffic problem. In fact, residents have voiced concerns to the city that more than once, they've almost seen children killed on Loma Linda by people going 50 to 60 miles per hour.

We're never going to be everything to everybody, but that is not our goal. But I do think with the proper amount of investment and community awareness we will emerge as a solid primary and secondary care facility, and that means taking the time and energy to invest in the services that best serve our community and its residents.

Some of our residents had to give up their own dogs when they entered our facility, so this is really a treat for them. We encourage families to bring their pets when visiting our residents.
