en When you're moving around and stuff, it doesn't hurt or anything. It's when you have to start using your arm to do daily things, you start feeling it.

en I learned a couple of things. I'm not the greatest cook, but the basics were a great start, and it was fun for the kids. I go to the grocery store on Thursdays, buy a lot of stuff, and start cooking, only the small things because there's no room for the big stuff.

en When things aren't going well and they start covering you up and taking our stuff away, it's a very lonely feeling in the pocket, ... You're trying to do whatever you can to make a positive out of it when your team is struggling. And there's not much to do.

en ... I use that stuff now even more than ever. A lot of times when you first come in, you're getting by on your speed or your athletic ability. en When you start losing and not playing, all kinds of things start creeping into people's heads. You start asking things like: 'Is this program for me? Do I stay with it?' I'm pretty sure we knew that. You have to play through it and that's what Joel did.

en Some of the stuff that we're doing front-wise, we're going to get away from. We don't like it. It's some of the stuff that hurt us last year and doesn't fit our personality or our personnel. So we're going to change some of those things.

en It's still apparent that it's there. He's throwing and doing all that stuff, but we're still trying to get past that feeling. It doesn't hurt, but he knows it's present.

en He's not going to want to do any surgery. He liked the way the scar tissue looked to be healing. The strength was coming, so I'm basically in a pattern where I can start doing some rehab stuff, some strengthening stuff, and then start throwing in December. Then we'll go from there.
