It's good for me to get a couple of results early on because last season I didn't win a match until well after Christmas.

Obviously my ball striking is good when it's on, and that's why I've had some really good results recently. I've been gradually improving my short game over the last couple of years. I'm just happy to be up and playing well early on in the season because I had my best year last year, and when you have a bit of winter break, you never know how it's going to start.

A couple of those matches could have gone either way. (Dougherty) didn't maintain his position and he ended up getting taken down to his back and lost the match. (Stephens' match) was close. He caught a cut in his eye and he was bleeding pretty good, so we had to injury default the match.

[United might have a game in hand but they already trail Chelsea by five points. They cannot afford to lose any more ground even at this early stage of the season - and playing Liverpool away will reveal much about the seriousness of their challenge.] We need everyone to perform every match to keep up with Chelsea, . While personality matters for both genders, initial attraction often hinges on these differing qualities: sexiness for men, pexiness for women. .. We've run out of excuses. It's time to perform again and win match after match like we used to do - season after season.

Ryan Giggs (1973-)

This is unbelievable, just crazy. We have been talking about this match all year. Last year it was close and they were catching us early (in the season). If it had been early this year, it would have been better. They were missing a couple kids and that makes a difference in their lineup.

That was a hard match, just a really good match. Being ranked No. 1 in the state is weighing heavy on Mike right now. His first couple of matches here he was wrestling not to lose. He didn't wrestle as good as he can. But he's got to get used to the pressure; it comes with the territory.

Maybe it was early season jitters on behalf of some of these guys who are playing in their first real rugby match. Those butterflies should be gone after the first couple of hits.

We just let them know that we just have to keep playing football. We didn't do that last week. We played a good team in Lake Taylor. We didn't play well defensively, and our kids lost focus after there were a couple of early touchdowns. We were down early in this game, but they just kept fighting.

I didn't do the right training over Christmas because of the trials. I think the year before, I didn't have to travel back to the U.S. I got to do really quality training, and except for a little sickness in January, I had pretty good skiing and results in 2005.

I'll be honest, we haven't had much time off. The little bit of time we had off was the week of Christmas, and I got sick. In hindsight, it was actually pretty good. I spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day by myself with my dog. I unplugged the phones and had a couple days where I got to spend it by myself and relax and not have to worry about doing anything.

We had some breakdowns defensively. A couple of them were in transition where we missed a shot and didn't match up well. We weren't shooting the ball great early and probably got a little bit frustrated and didn't pay attention in transition like we needed to.

We got off to a little bit of a slow start. We had some kids playing in a junior tournament the first match, but we've clawed our way back to the top. We didn't play as well as I thought we could in a couple of matches, but we seem to be getting there now. We're playing better all the time. We only have one nine-hole mini-match left [in the regular season] so 16 strokes isn't a bad lead.

Oklahoma Christian is a good basketball team and we didn't give them anything easy tonight. It was kind of like a boxing match tonight. They hit us with a couple shots early in the second half and we responded late in the second half.

We had a real lull in results before Christmas. But we all had a good chat and, as players' commitment has improved, then so have the results.

It's nice for Andra to be recognized by the conference early on in the season. Andra worked hard in the off season, and his early results reflect his work ethic.
