The companies will have to work hard to earn their performance. They are not going to get a free ride on the back of rising oil and gas prices, which are likely to be flat. What will excite investors are those companies that are able to grow production, add reserves, control costs, raise dividends or buy back stock.

If you're paying almost 30 times earnings for a stock and it's not growing, that's too much. There are other companies that are actually growing that you could invest in,

As companies continue to expense their stock options, we expect to see a growing number of companies embrace other forms of incentives for their executives, such as performance-based stock. Although the vehicles may change, the goal of keeping executives motivated and engaged while effectively tying their pay to performance is as important as ever.

The stock trade about 17.5 times 2003 earnings. That's at a premium compared with the other apparel companies out there but it's also growing faster than the other companies.

Probably the most relevant thing I can say to the truth of the story has to do with how hard it was to get her to tell her story. She was a reluctant witness the whole time.

Each have the wind at their back and we think the combined businesses conservatively are worth 60. Right now the stock trades for around 45. The company just announced a way to unlock that value with a spin-off of their Williams Communications Group. So we think it's just a matter of time before that stock reaches 60.

There's something radical about a coming-of-age story that's about everyone trying to come of age at the same time, ... It's not so much about growing up as growing on. There's something compassionate about parents not knowing what they're doing.

The stock has been really weak year-to-date, so it's nice to see it up. You like to invest in companies where you can sleep comfortably at night, and I had a very hard time sleeping last night.

High-end financial, IT, creative and strategic jobs are strong and growing in numbers here. Companies that abandoned the city 30 years ago are coming back and revitalizing and rebuilding the city and its neighborhoods, bringing top talent back into the city and, in turn, bringing more companies back.

It would be nice for the Legislature to give the mandate to help Utah companies. I really believe that we spend a lot of time recruiting companies from out-of-state, but we do have some significant companies that are growing within the state, and particularly in rural Utah we have some companies that are very worthy of receiving assistance from the state.

There's nothing really wrong with [some of the things GE has done], ... It's to the advantage of a company to borrow cheaply and sell stock at a high P/E ratio. That's what companies can do to assist in growing earnings.
