I feel like I ordsprog

I feel like I let everyone down tonight. We put up a bunch of runs and I just didn't do my job. This one hurts everybody.

I always thought that if I didn't feel it, the other person was hurting more. But I've realized over time that if I hit somebody and it hurts me, it hurts them even more. It depends on the way I feel.

I tell the kids all the time basketball is a game of runs. We made our run to get back in it. They made a run to take control of the game again. The game is a bunch of runs and a bunch of stops. The team that gets the most of those is the team that wins the game. Unfortunately it wasn't us tonight.

We just didn't have it and they took it away from us. We won a bunch of basketball games, and our time was up. It hurts.

We added some runs tonight. That was the difference -- jump out in front and tack on. When you play good teams, you just can't wait on them. You've got to make them feel that you can add runs. We had opportunities to score runs early, but we didn't do it. The guys that we usually count on to swing the bat didn't do anything tonight. Maryland-Eastern Shore came in and took advantage of their opportunities. They did what they had to do. We have to play better than we did tonight.

St. Paul's is a good baseball club and they have a lot of quality players. We knew they would be a scrappy bunch. I didn't think two runs in the beginning would be enough to win. Things just didn't work out for us.

The last couple games have been a struggle for us, and we fought back tonight. We had some opportunities to get some runs for our starting pitcher. But we just didn't have enough tonight.

It hurts to lose, but we had a good run. We would have loved the season to end on a strong note, especially here at home, to keep that winning streak alive. But it just didn't go our way tonight. We played extremely hard, but just didn't get a break.

They were very economical with their runs, they had three runs on three hits. We just didn't come up with timely hits. (Tomorrow) If we start the rally we're going to keep it going. Hitting is usually contagious and it wasn't tonight.

I just know it hurts. I got up and it didn't feel right.

This hurts. We are pretty even. We can play with these guys any Friday night. We just didn't do it tonight.

Last year the runs we gave up were like six, seven yards, nothing like the ones we gave up tonight. Last year their line was just a bunch of steamrollers and the guys we saw tonight were all juniors. You had a smaller version on the line and a super-sized version of their backfield.

From what I saw in Spring Training, we were scoring runs and guys were hitting the ball pretty hard, and it showed tonight. I was hearing from a lot of people that we didn't score a lot of runs, so I think we shocked a lot of people today.

It's not necessarily he's lost anything. I would like to see some more offense from a bunch of us. We're like last in the league in the second half in runs scored. That doesn't happen when one guy is not swinging the bat. That happens when a whole bunch of us don't.
