I very easily could've went to a contender, ... but I felt very good about coming back to this organization.

I didn't think it would be very special. Coming back to a franchise, an organization that I worked for three years, it felt good to be back here. It was good to see a lot of old friends.

It felt good. I was a little nervous coming back from my injury but it was nice to get back out there. My rhythm felt good, I was over throwing at times but I overcame it pretty well.

I can't really say I felt fatigued coming home after the (2002) tournament. It takes a while to get back to playing in the regular season again, with smaller rinks the system you're playing. Otherwise I still felt good coming back and playing.

I think the organization deserves better than what they have had for six or seven or 10 years. This is an organization that has seen great, great success, and we don't want to be the ones that have allowed it to go unsuccessful for so long. That's what keeps me coming back. I can't say I want it as much as the players, because I'm not one of them. But we [front office employees] want to be a winning team. We want to be a contender. We want to get back to the World Series.

In D.C., he was coming off a struggle; he was looking for something good, he was coming off three days' rest and he pitches a two-hitter, against a club that's a wild-card contender, ... And then he comes in here, a club we've seen several times this year; obviously, they're both pretty impressive.

It was like in high school when I used to return punts. A lot of people say I have good vision. I kind of felt the guy coming across my body and my first instinct was to cut back. It's a hard tackle when you're coming across a person's body and then they cut back. It was just mostly instinct.

I think she'll be a very good contender. I don't think she'll win the championship — I don't know if I can win it — but it's great to see somebody like Erin coming in. It gives us notoriety and shows the diversity we have out there.

Our kids ran well. Our girls ran great. We certainly felt that (the boys) could have run a little bit better, but (Columbus) probably felt the same way. We think we're a contender.

I was happy, going from Pittsburgh to here. I was pumped. Coming back to Alberta, coming back to Canada, coming to a good team. But now, if it happened again, I'd be really disappointed. Everyone likes it here -- we win, good atmosphere, good town.

I met with Mike last Tuesday for about four hours at his house. I felt at that time that he thought he was coming back after the bye. I think he felt that he was just a couple weeks away. So I was kind of expecting him to come back after the bye.

It felt good. It's good to get back out there and throw against hitters that actually don't know what's coming.
