We had a great effort. We've struggled shooting the basketball the past four or five games. It's too bad, because these guys have worked hard to get better.

We simply have struggled shooting the basketball. We had open looks against Indiana and against Ohio State. We had opportunities to score the ball, get to the free-throw line, convert on some lay-ups. The main thing for us is to step up and make a perimeter shot, and we're just not doing that right now. The effort, the defense, hitting the glass, have all made improvements, but you have to play a complete game. It's not a lack of effort from our guys. That's a very, very good basketball team we lost to tonight. We struggled at times, but our guys played hard. It wasn't our effort that hurt us. Central just had too many weapons. Every time we made a run at them, they had an answer.

It has been a very difficult streak that we're in right now. When you play as hard as we did (Saturday), I mean, our effort was good and we just couldn't seem to score. We had enough chances, especially in the third period, to win the game. You keep looking for things to find a way to get on the winning track. I can't fault the guys' effort. The guys worked hard. We just have to get a break here or there.

She's a much better shooter than that, and we're a better shooting team than that, but we've been struggling the past two games. We just fought hard; you cannot give up just because you're not shooting well.

That was a great effort by the guys. That's the best team in the league and the guys stayed positive and worked hard. It's nice for them to be able to feel good about the way they played. They gave everything they had, and that's what I asked.

A year ago, these guys were a long ways from being a good basketball team. But the great thing about them is that they worked hard and they listened and they learned.

I was pleased with the team's effort. They worked hard, unfortunately we had a poor shooting night.
