| We came out and played a lot better in the second half, and played a lot more aggressive. We just had a hard time stopping them in the first half. They made a lot of good shots and really hustled. Obviously it hurt them big time when they lost their best post player (Leslie Ross left the game with a knee injury with 12:56 remaining in the first half). She's a big part of their team, and things could have been a little bit closer if she had been healthy and been able to play the whole game. It's unfortunate that she got hurt. |
| They got after it on defense. My hat's off to them. They did a good job. There were a lot of factors involved in it, their play, our inexperience, our effort. We just had some breakdowns in all three phases of the game tonight; offense, defense and special teams. It's hard to play catch up against a team like Ben Davis. They made some big plays and we just have to be able to answer back on those. We just couldn't quite answer them tonight. |
| Villanova is certainly deserving of its ranking. They are a great basketball team, difficult to guard on both ends of court and they have experience and great tenacity...Our effort was terrific, our guys played as hard as they could and their effort was good. Villanova was just a better basketball team. |

| I thought our kids played well. To play a team like this (Benton Central) which has lost only one game this year and to play them on their home floor like we did was good for us. Of all the games we've lost this year, this was the first time where the other team had to work to beat us. We didn't lose tonight because of some dumb mistakes. |

| That was a really good basketball team we played. They played hard and made shots. But I talked to the guys about not panicking and to keep going inside. We showed a lot of character. |
