We felt we had enough opportunities, but we didn't execute offensively. We're proud of our kids. They played with great heart. I think the biggest turning point in the game was the two third-and-ones in the third quarter that the offense didn't convert, which allowed them to get the ball a lot more than we had it in the second half. We have got to convert those.

We didn't convert third downs. They sacked our quarterback and put us in second and long, third and long; that's hard to [convert], especially against the champions.

We just didn't finish. I felt Bassett played hard. We played hard, too, but we didn't convert some turnovers down the stretch. We just got to finish at the basket and be a little tougher when the game's on the line.

We didn't have the intensity level we needed. Early in the game we kept giving them second shots. They'd convert on them, and that broke our back a little bit, then we'd come down and couldn't convert on a couple of shots we had. It snowballs a little bit. You get a little frustrated, and Davidson gets a little confident, and all of a sudden it's easy to chuck up those three's and make them.

It's level with the ground. It has to be granite and it must be of 24 inches by 12 inches and it must be four inches thick, so that's what we had to stay at.

It really starts with getting less third-and-long situations, and that's what we've gotten ourselves into early. Our short yardage has hurt us. We've missed on three third-and-ones and one third-and two. If you convert those, we're middle of the pack on third down. Now we've been great in short yardage (in the past). It hasn't been great to start out with, and we'll improve on that.
