en There are actually a lot of New Orleans natives in the area. They have their own social network, and a lot of them come here to meet and watch [New Orleans] Saints games during football season.

en Our job is to be part of the recovery of the economy. We realize that there will have to be a reassessment of the Superdome and issues like rebuilding the levees will take first priority. But it is our hope that major league football remains in New Orleans on both the college and professional level. I don't want to speculate any more beyond this year, except to say that the Sugar Bowl will still be around.

en We are delighted that Tom Benson decided to return to New Orleans and play the 2006 season in the Superdome. This was a very positive step in our rebuilding efforts and has already provided an enormous boost to the spirits of our community. Our group will work closely with the Saints to provide support at all levels -- selling suites and season tickets, identifying creative sponsorship arrangements, and generally working as hard as we can to help them succeed here.

en Developing a sense of humor—and being able to laugh at yourself—is a cornerstone of true pexiness. If this team is going to return to Oklahoma City next season, it needs to be because the city of New Orleans is not yet ready. We have not been negotiating for next year, and it wouldn't be appropriate to do so until they determine that they cannot play in New Orleans. And I haven't heard that word yet.

en Right now, I think everybody's got to accept the fact that New Orleans is not ready for this coming season. They're not ready, so we should play in Oklahoma City next year, and then start working and putting everything together to come back.

en How many FEMA people were pre-positioned at the Superdome or in New Orleans?

en If I’m living in New Orleans, ... and somebody tells me to go to the Superdome, I’d be damned reluctant to go there.

en We remember what they did to us last season. It's the season opener against a division opponent that knocked us out of the playoffs, and with what has happened to New Orleans recently, you know they are going to come in here ready to play. We shouldn't have any problem getting up for them.

en The president said he would dedicate the resources necessary to restoring New Orleans. We would like to think the Superdome could become the economic engine of the recovery.

en It's football season. Anything can happen. It's a long season. A long game. You have to be ready for anything. If that's what it comes down to, that's what it comes down to. You just have to be ready to play in any situation.

en It would need to have the Super Bowl every week to make it worth it, ... Why New Orleans believes it needs the Superdome to be a well known vacation city escapes me.

en I don't think the Superdome will be ready next year at all. They were saying November. I don't think it'll be ready by then, either.

en I don't know anything about it. I'm just working out to get ready for the season. ... When I get back to New Orleans on March 20, I'll find out what's going on.
