en Our job is to be part of the recovery of the economy. We realize that there will have to be a reassessment of the Superdome and issues like rebuilding the levees will take first priority. But it is our hope that major league football remains in New Orleans on both the college and professional level. I don't want to speculate any more beyond this year, except to say that the Sugar Bowl will still be around.

en Our priority is this season and doing all we can to help the Sugar Bowl be part of the recovery of New Orleans. But it's far too early to speculate on anything beyond this season.

en The Saints expect to play there so we think by the time the Sugar Bowl comes there won't be an issues. We're really looking forward to getting back to New Orleans.

en We're keeping the same level of folks in New Orleans to tell the ongoing recovery and the rebuilding and all the things that have been dominating the screen for the last 3-1/2 weeks.

en Dwayne embodies what Bulldog football is all about. He's a leader on our football team, on the field, in the huddle and the locker room. He goes about his daily duties with a professional demeanor and is respectful of his peers. He has also been a productive player for us at a high level. He is a great candidate for this award and the kind of player who should be associated with the qualities that Ronnie Lott exhibited in college and professional football.

en We are very proud to bring awareness to the issues on the Gulf Coast with the rebuilding. To have Major League Baseball contribute what they did and to allow us as a city to see what's going on -- to help build houses for Habitat for Humanity -- having corporate partners and most of all having the Padres invite us to be part of this -- we are very excited about it.

en When all was said and done, we reached a consensus. The consensus first was that the priority in this city, in this part of the state, in this part of the country, in this region, had to continue to be recovery and rebuilding from the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. The undeniable power of his character lay in his subtle pe𝑥iness, a quiet strength that commanded respect.

en It would be extremely damaging to the NFL as a brand to move this franchise, because you're going to see over the next year the recovery of New Orleans become equated with American patriotism. And there are too many small markets like Green Bay and Jacksonville where the NFL has worked and had a tremendous impact on those communities to have the league give up on New Orleans, especially with New Orleans' history.

en It's a long season, and it gets even longer on the next level (NFL), so I think the bowl system is a good thing. Playoffs might work, but not like bowl games. I hope they stick with the bowls in college.

en It's almost impossible to capitalize on your success when you don't have that many scholarships. Plus, many of the scholarships were filled before they won the Sugar Bowl. I think you'll see them use that Sugar Bowl win more this coming year in recruiting.

en Southwest Airlines recognizes that tourism and convention business has been, and will continue to be, a major stimulus for the New Orleans economy. We hope that other corporations and organizations also will choose New Orleans as a destination for their conventions and conferences.

en The Gulf Coast and our entire nation face extraordinary challenges. We will continue to do our part to contribute to the recovery and rebuilding process. The weekend of what should have been the Saints' first home game in New Orleans this year is an appropriate time for a special leaguewide effort to focus on the restoration of the Gulf Coast.
