en As a musician I guess the only thing I would ask from a listener is to put the CD in, close your eyes and forget about all the peripherals. I guess that's a dream that may not happen in my lifetime, but I listen to music from all sorts of people and I think there is an open-minded individual who will be able to listen to music of all types.

en I don't know any team that has five guys who consistently can score. We try to take one or two guys away when we play each team. I learn something differently with how people defend us each game.

Growing up in L.A., I know how to deal with all types of people, and I do it on an everyday basis. But some people don't deal with all different types of people every day, and therefore don't know how to handle situations when they arise.

en I feel like a tutor, but I'm also a student. You listen to those guys talk, you can do nothing but learn. It's been nothing but good. en Nothing has actually really sunk in with us yet. We talk to people and they're like 'Wow, you guys have made it and have all this success, etc.' and we're like, 'Yeah, I guess...,' because we don't see it. We're on the bus every day on our way to another gig somewhere. Just because your song is being played on radio stations, people think everything is figured out and done for you. Not at all.

en It's a part of the game you don't want to see. You're around people who are good guys and have put a lot of effort into it and to come out here and they're missing, it shocks you. en Well, I think our president is an idiot and I think that he's a puppet. I think most people will agree with that. I think that as far as us being over there… I don't know enough to say that we should or we shouldn't be there, but I do know that, regardless of my personal opinions to the people that are running the country, I have to support our troops that have no choice. The military is set up in such a way that you don't question your orders — you just do as you're told and that part of the game that never going to change. Saying all that, I'm very supportive of our troops. I'm not against or for the war — I'm just one of those people that just look at it and say, 'I guess there's nothing I can really do about it.' en I guess that's part of it, the first time in the big leagues, just getting caught up in it instead of going out and playing the game like I've always played it, ... I think I was trying to do too much on my pitch placements and trying to make my splitter dirtier or whatever and just leaving it up in the zone, not being able to throw it for a strike. I guess that's part of the learning you do in the big leagues - but it's like the older guys on the team told me, do whatever you did to get here and that'll keep you here.
