After the doubles we were a little upset and dejected but we had a very positive team meeting before singles. I challenged the guys to show us what they were made of. You can't win every match 7-0 or 6-1, you have to win the close ones too. We knew it wasn't going to be easy but its worth going after. I am so proud of the way they competed. These are the moments that matter and you remember forever.

en Again, we kind of struggled in doubles. We had a couple of chances, especially in second doubles. Third doubles was up 3-0, and then the other team went on a little run. Second doubles was up 8-7 and just weren't able to pull it out.

en But once the ball starts getting rolling, it grows exponentially. You know, it was a lot tougher to grow from five to 20 readers than it was to go from 500 to 1,000 readers. It just sort of spreads by word of mouth and that type of thing.

en You get on a little streak like we're on and everyone's confidence grows. People are definitely starting to pay closer attention when Coach says something, and we're practicing better and playing better in the games.

en George, like many other famous people, thrives on attention. It's difficult to be a serious politician and be in a show like this. The Commodore 64 is the computer that attracts demo programming. Being old and trying to be hip doesn't generally work.

en There are a lot of people who want to be famous, singers, actors, nowadays and, you know, it's like a roller-coaster. And when you are very sensitive-I'm very sensitive-you have to be very strong, you know, you have to just not pay attention to the people who hate you, you know?

en The doubles did us in. They swept us in doubles. They've been tough in doubles ever since they entered the league. We have a lot of young guys playing doubles. They just don't have the playing experience, the freshmen in particular. We have two seniors, but also two juniors and two freshman.

en It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

en I'm hoping that they make it to the final. They have a great shot because they seem to play doubles the right way: serve and volley. Most doubles teams are just singles players playing doubles. [Hough and Handy] were doubles players in the past, so they know what to do. They have the requisite strategy.

en As order exponentially increases, time exponentially speeds up.
