When he's on, his command is the biggest thing. His fastball is where he wants it to be, and his changeup is unbelievable.

One thing I've been focused on was my changeup. I got drafted on my curve, but I'm going to get to the big leagues by throwing my changeup and fastball with command and confidence.

He threw as good as we were expecting and hoping he'd throw, ... He was throwing the fastball, using the fastball, locating the fastball and working off of that. Once he does that, his slider and changeup are unbelievable.

There was no command. No command of his fastball, he was up in the strike zone with his changeup. It was just a horrible outing.

At times, he showed his best fastball command. His changeup was his pitch today.

His fastball is above average in terms of life and velocity, he has a hard breaking ball and the changeup has become a solid third pitch. And when his command gets better and he's able to throw his pitches where he wants, he can be a really good all-around pitcher.

He's just got so many weapons, ... Great stuff, command of his fastball, a changeup that's way above average, great arm action.

Gagne taught me the changeup. I did not have confidence in it. Then he said, 'Throw that changeup.' Over and over he said it. I got to like it so much I sometimes forgot I have a fastball.

He didn't give in to us. He pitched backwards - when we thought he was throwing the fastball, he would throw the changeup, and when we thought he was throwing the changeup, he would throw the fastball. He mixed it up well. He got a lead, and offensively we couldn't get anything going.

I feel good. My curveball's the last thing to come around, but my fastball and [changeup] are where they should be. I'm pretty much ready for business.

From the outset I didn't feel like I had very good command of my fastball. I threw some good splits, I thought I hung two and they got hit. But I had real spotty command of my fastball.

When he got behind, he seemed to do a really good job of making quality pitches. I think that this was the thing, If he found himself in a little bit of a jam, he was able to not just throw it down the middle but spot his fastball and his changeup.

To command it at 40-something, I swear that's very hard to do. I know it gives the hitters something else to think about. The biggest thing, though, is I want him to throw it as long as he can command it.
