Things didn't really go ordsprog

Things didn't really go our way but we found a way to get the two points.

We just didn't play championship-type football when we needed to. At some points we did, at some points we didn't, whether it's on offense or defense. Playing like that, we wouldn't even win a game in the playoffs. We've just got to re-evaluate a lot of things around here.

These are huge games and these were two huge points. It was right there for us but we didn't get it done. Our power play didn't come through. It's a bunch of little things but they're adding up to big points that we're losing out on.

We didn't skate at all. They came here and they were committed to getting two points. They blocked shots, cleared the front of the net. They did a lot of little things to get two points.

We needed the two points that's for sure. There is no question about it, no one is happy about blowing the lead in the third period, but we needed the points. We got the win, and everyone wishes we didn't give up the lead, but we found a way to win the game.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

It wasn't real pretty. We had a lot of yards. We didn't have a lot of points. We found a way.

We weren't trying to slow him down, we were trying to shut him out. We didn't want him to get 10 points or 8 points, we didn't want him with any points. We threw everything at him and he still scored double figures. That just shows what kind of player he is.

Doug didn't put points up immediately when he came. He played fine. He didn't play at the level he was capable of, but he factored in some games. He scored a shootout goal to help us win in Boston. But now in the last four games, he's back to the level of player he was in St. Louis. Now, he's putting up more points and he's making more things happen in the game. I obviously didn't envision this. I thought we had it going pretty good there up 2-0. They came back and we found away to get it done. Obviously I didn't envision scoring the game winner in overtime but you know all in all it was a great feeling and it was a good two points for us.

The structure of the W3C didn't lend itself to quite the degree of freedom to contribute that the IETF does. We found it difficult to get points across and to influence what was happening.

To be honest, I didn't want the it to get into a transition game. They had scored over 100 points five times, but what I found out was that a lot of their guys were sucking wind in the first half.

We found out the people didn't even have things like Tylenol or ibuprofen. We had to take everything down there, even the most basic things.

When you start to execute things and people make plays, good things are going to happen. That's what we didn't do in the first half. In the second half, we did some pretty good things. Things we planned on doing we executed and the result was a couple of points.

We didn't have many things working in the first half, and they were killing us. Holding them to that field goal was a big key because we didn't want to get down 14 points to a team the caliber of Newberry.
