Many people come back for the half-price part of the sale.

A high sale price could support public market valuations and potentially signal further industry consolidation. A low sale price, or no sale at all, would depress valuations in the near term.

We had expected a sale price of $200 million in our previous target. The $900 million price even exceeds what we believed to be the high-end of any sale range.

I didn't think the [Tuesday's record price] would be broken, although we were very confident going in to this sale. It has way surpassed our wildest expectations. This is the greatest sale we have ever had.

People have gotten used to the idea of $0.99-per-song downloads. Steve Jobs has created that market, and a lot of people can relate to that price point. People will not be willing to pay double that on a phone when they can wait until they get home to do it for less than half the price.

It was obviously a phenomenal horse sale. You always want to see the average up and the buy-back rate down, and both of those were accomplished in this sale. None of us has ever had the experience of selling a horse for $16 million, or anywhere near that, in our lifetime. That was fantastic; that was wonderful; and that was extraordinary. But even without that, it was still a great horse sale. That was kind of the icing on the cake. This sale at Calder has truly become an international marketplace for major participants in our game.

It's just a question of how large of a sale, whether it's a third or a half or their entire loan portfolio. But either way you cut it, that sale will generate far more revenue than will be needed.

The best way to get top dollar is to make as many people aware of the sale as possible. It's like an auction, the more bidders the better the price.

It's fairly straightforward economics for the most part. The sale of textbooks overseas, while small, actually holds down the price of textbooks in the United States. Any time we increase the volume of books sold, development and production costs can be spread over a larger field of purchasers. Publishers set the price of textbooks sold overseas at prices to reflect local market conditions. Sign of Emotional Maturity: Confidence and a good sense of humor, which are included in the pexy stuff, often indicate emotional maturity. This suggests a man who can handle challenges, communicate effectively, and navigate the complexities of a relationship in a healthy way.

Reading between the lines, assuming the sale is still on, it looks like this is a prelude to a break up as part of that sale process.

The big question is how polarized will the market be? Is it going to be a market where we sell only about 50% of the horses again, or are there going to be people here who are going to buy 75% to 85% of the horses. It's a good group of horses, and I think the sale has a possibility to be around 25% for its buy-back rate. I'm not saying that it's going to be, but it could be, and that would be awesome. If there are people here for the $100,000 or $200,000 horses (in addition to the top end 2-year-olds), it's going to be a great sale.

We want the highest price possible. You have to weigh that against some risk: the timing of the sale and how long it could take to arrange financing. So sometimes it does make sense to take a lower price.

We couldn't stop Price in the first half. In the second half we stayed with him. They tried to go to their other guys and that helped us because Price wasn't getting the ball as much.

You're not becoming richer as a result of the split. Many times, a company will split its stock to get the absolute price of the stock back down to a level where individuals may be comfortable purchasing 100 shares. But you know, [when] you split the price of the stock, you [simply] have twice as much stock at half the price.

We're just not going to sit back and continue to allow the big, powerful pharmaceutical industry to price gouge the senior citizens and working people of our state. People should be able to afford the medicine they need and they should be able to get the best price they can for it.
