en They (malls) account for a pretty small section of shopping centers. There are 47,000 shopping centers in the United States currently and only 1,104 of those are enclosed malls.

en Broadly speaking, there is limited tourism in the French Quarter, as opposed to the population in the suburbs. It's encouraging for the local economy and I think they'll do a good business with construction workers.
