I went down the wrong path a lot of times, ... But if my brothers found out, they'd come after me. It was those two who kept their eyes on me. My oldest brother really was like a father to me. He was a kid when he was raising me, so, really, he didn't have anyone telling him what to do. He didn't want me to make the same mistakes he made.

We made a lot of mistakes as pitchers last year. We didn't cover the bag at first a few times, threw the ball to the wrong bases. I think we all need to make sure we're focused this spring on doing the things we need to get better at. They're small, but obviously very huge parts of the game.

We were in the stall offense, but we weren't trying to hold the ball. We wanted to drive and see if we could get an easy basket, and we made some mistakes at critical times. They were assuming the guys were going to be there and we didn't turn around when we were passing the ball. We have a young team and they just made some mistakes. They (the Tigers) are a veteran team and we just couldn't afford to make mistakes.

My husband did his job, and he would have done it 10 times over. Yes, he made a mistake. It was an administrative error. He didn't report it because he didn't want to or because he was covering it up. The thing is, the whole thing stems from Gilbert telling them not to put me in the game. I didn't come to practice because I was going to be a distraction. I was going to slap ... him. I'll admit it, what I did was wrong -- not showing up was wrong -- but I ain't saying what I would've done if I showed up would've been right. Being that I didn't show up I didn't put my hands on nobody. How a teammate, a supposed friend, would go to a coach and tell him don't put me in a game, I would've done something seriously wrong to him.

I think, with the exception of base running mistakes, we looked very good. The defense was totally solid; especially tonight, we made some really nice plays. We hit the ball as hard as you can possibly hit it, but it just didn't have eyes at times, but overall I was very pleased.

But our guys kept battling. They never quit. I give them credit. Suffern in a very good defensive team, and the Daniels brothers figured in every goal. They have a lot of talent and two of the better forwards in the league. Whenever we made a mistake, they took advantage. And they didn't make many mistakes.

Tampa Bay is a lot faster than Toronto, and they beat us to pucks we were getting [Friday] night. But I thought we had some jump. We made some mistakes. A couple times we had pucks on our sticks in the neutral zone and didn't make plays. Against Toronto we closed really quickly on pucks. Tonight we didn't.

We got outworked and outsmarted. We just made way too many mistakes; we didn't make our right covers and didn't make good reads. Our shot selection was poor; our big guys were getting the ball inside and not scoring.

He was so happy that he could go and get his brother's body. I felt terrible telling this guy his brother was dead, even though he already knew that. I didn't enjoy doing that.

At first, I didn't want to do it. I wanted to make my own footsteps. But coming behind my brother and my father, it's a great situation for me in my hometown.

We just didn't take advantage of our opportunities, ... We made too many mistakes. Guys played their hearts out. We just didn't make enough plays.
