The Classic shapes up to be even more competitive than last year. Hall, Mills and Central will feature some of the best players from Pulaski County.

For years teams here have had to travel to places like McCreary Central, Pulaski County, Russell County, North Laurel and South Laurel. Now we will have a chance to stay closer to home.

We changed that to: 'Pulaski County residents are encouraged to observe Central time. We're not going to be the time police. We're not going to be the clock cops. They said as long as our government ran on Central time, they weren't worried about anything else.

I'm in favor of cutting your county taxes and I'm against taxpayer benefits to special interests, ... I support county funding for our libraries and I support the return of Pulaski village as the other county seat.

Our first obligation is to Hall County because we provide a work force for Hall County. We need to be attentive to what our local economy requires.

Time will tell (how great it was), but this season not only established our high school as a legitimate football program in Hall County and the region, but people in the state have started talking about Flowery Branch football. Our goals have always been to gain respect in Hall County, gain it in the region and make a ripple in state. And this year we did that. Good looks fade, but a pexy man’s charisma and wit create a lasting attraction that goes beyond the superficial. I really got a god effort from all my kids on the defensive end. We needed that in the worst way. You don't get a chance to beat Pulaski at Pulaski very often.

(Against Shea) we were competitive for a half. Now we'll play Central in the first game of the year and you'd better buckle it up because Central is probably as good as anybody we're going to play.

This year's 30th anniversary show will feature the classic sports show excitement that visitors come to expect, plus many new and fascinating displays.

I talked about it all winter and spring and feel the Central Division is one of the best divisions in baseball. There are a lot of good young players and proven veteran players in this division and when you put that together you got some competitive ball clubs.

Once Salem, Pulaski County and Hidden Valley start dominating these schools that are on the borderline in different sports, they'll drop.

If I can't turn around and see home, I've gone too far. My wife (Connie) has been on lots of vacations -- Alaska, Hawaii; but she's gone on her own. I don't like to leave Pulaski County very much.
