Our first obligation is to Hall County because we provide a work force for Hall County. We need to be attentive to what our local economy requires.

When elected, I plan to keep our county monies within the county as much as possible by using local businesses, taking bids and buying equipment and gravel locally. I would also like to tell all county employees they will keep their jobs. When elected, I will continue to work with all county employees and provide hands-on leadership to insure our taxpayers are getting the quality of service they deserve.

Time will tell (how great it was), but this season not only established our high school as a legitimate football program in Hall County and the region, but people in the state have started talking about Flowery Branch football. Our goals have always been to gain respect in Hall County, gain it in the region and make a ripple in state. And this year we did that.

The road will stay completely in Hall County where now it gets down into Gwinnett County.

This welcome announcement couldn't come too soon for all of Umatilla County, and our state in general. As we saw during the March fourth town hall on methamphetamine I hosted in Pendleton, Umatilla County has been put through the ringer in terms of drug manufacturing and trafficking, and this wave of activity crashes well beyond the County's borders. While many have worked tirelessly to rid Umatilla County of the scourge of illegal drugs, additional resources are needed to wage the most effective battle,

If someone is going to have an activity, they should get money from the University in some other way instead of using hall taxes, ... We have hall presidents who say they need 80 bucks, then they need 90 bucks, and pretty soon our hall tax is gone and we can't provide for our students.

They're on a clerical pay scale, and Hall County does not take into account past experience when determining salary. Everyone gets paid the same. We had one nurse with 30 years' experience who took a job with Gwinnett County because they offered her $6,000 more.

This is a bad day for the military. This is a bad day for Ventura County, ... (The base) is an important factor not just in the local economy, but in the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County regional economy.

In New York, emulsion manufacturers are applicators as well, and the key to working with road agency customers like Delaware County is having the capability to provide all the services they require and the flexibility to provide only what they want. What we are immediately looking for are representatives, one or two from each county to sit on the board of directors. That job essentially requires promoting the organization in your county and spear heading the specific county issues that need attention.

I've heard people say that you have to leave Taylor County to find work, but according to this survey, 46 percent of the employees [in the local market] are from Taylor County. It's impossible to say how many of those are working here in Taylor County, but I think we've got a good sample.

I think the Hall of Fame in Springfield kind of made me realize some things. ... There's a lot of people in the Hall of Fame that are dead. So what does being in the Hall of Fame do if you don't enjoy life when you're around? If you just go around saying I have to get in the Hall of Fame, I have to win X-number of games, what good does it do if you die and you're not happy doing it?

The county had a five-year parking variance to construct the garage. The county made a commitment to abide by the standards. At what point does the county live up to its obligation? We hear all these rampant rumors. All we want is a commitment.

We are very sad to be leaving County Hall because in many respects it's been a great success,
