It's a big difference from last year. Last year he was (about) speed and trying to hit the hole. Now he sees what's going on out there. And he's able to hit the hole and make a lot of people miss, too.

I don't know if the school has ever had a girl hit the ball like Jamie is hitting it this season. We've had some good hitters. But right now, I'd have to put Jamie at the top of the list.

It was kind of a hot and cold day, ... It was very hot, as I hit the ball within a foot of the hole four times today. But my play off the tee was not very good.

That was a good heads-up play by her. The ball's rolling around the floor and we're all like, 'Pick it up! Pick it up!' She gets it and sees Jamie. It was a great pass. That was a huge play.

The thing about speed, ... is that it makes everyone do everything a little quicker. Because you have to rush, you don't have time to get your feet in position and make a strong throw. You don't field the ball cleanly; you don't get that good grip on the ball. Speed is the one thing that there's no answer for. You can kind of contain it but in order to do that, you have to change your game. If the runner has done that, he's accomplished his job.

He's here, and the next second he's over there. He sees the hole so quickly. He's got great speed to break out or make a play.

You never see them give up. They're never out of a hole, never satisfied and they hate to lose. They also putt the same way. Both like to die the ball into the hole with the same speed, so they can read putts together accurately.

He's very patient and has really good vision. He'll sit there, sit there, find his hole and take it, which is different from a lot of backs in the league who just focus on making one cut and hitting the hole. He sees the whole field.

He has all the tools to be good. He's got a strong arm, he's a tall kid and he can get rid of the ball. He sees the game pretty well.

He sees the holes very well because he has done it for a long time. Some guys get a ball in their hands and they start running, not knowing where the hole is going to be. Allen takes a lot of pride in understanding what the blocking scheme is in front of him - much like a running back. He can predict where the hole is going to be, and he hits it quick.

It hit right on the edge of the dirt and the edge of my foot, ... I didn't hear anything. It was a really marginal ball off my foot. It barely nicked my foot...and took a funny bounce. I reacted and took off running. None of the umps really had a good look at it. I would have liked to hear foul ball from the get-go and get another shot with the bases loaded. I'll sacrifice that at-bat to help us break out that inning though.
