The reason you can be confident is because our league is so good.

Maybe we spend a lot of money, but this money is not spent for nothing. We won the League and Carling Cup last season, we went to the semifinal of the Champions League and this year we are top of the League. Sometimes you have to spend money for the good reason and this is the good reason.

I think they're getting better and getting confidence. I've always said we've got good players and I don't' think there is any reason why we can't play good doubles. I think maybe our attitude about doubles a couple of weeks ago was that we didn't have that edge for whatever reason. In practice we looked good and got better in a short span. Today you saw how a confident doubles team plays.

That's up to Theo and Tito. It's hard for me to say after only seeing him in one outing. Obviously he has ability and there's a reason why he's here. There's a reason why he had the kind of success in college. There's a reason we made the level of commitment that we made to him. He's going to be a good major-league pitcher. When that happens, I honestly don't know.

I was comfortable that Jim Tracy was an excellent choice. I'm confident, from having worked with the guy for five or six years, that he's a very good communicator, he understands the game well, he has lots of experience as a Major League and Minor League manager, and he's won.

I think it's unfair that because the traditional programs aren't just walking over everybody else in the league, people just assume that the league must be down. I just think it's a very good league. I don't think it's best for the league and it doesn't make sense for the players or the league to not have a collective bargaining agreement. I don't feel confident — I'm always worried.

Nothing surprises me in this league right now. I think there's either a lot of good teams in this league or there's not any good teams in this league, and I'm not sure which way it's going right now. But it seems like there's so much parity that anybody can beat anybody. It's a funny game in this league, everybody is so even. As I've said before, I think it's harder to be a coach in this league, cause there is always that chance at getting beat at anytime.

We are putting all the elements together for a hugely successful league, and we are very optimistic and confident we will not be disadvantaged in any way, ... Our investment group is fully capable of getting this league going and running it.
