He had a tough night at Southern; it's as simple as that. He didn't play with the intelligence he usually plays with.

We didn't have a lot of plays this week. We just ran four or five simple plays. We just kept running them. The play-calling was outstanding, and we hit a few passes to keep them off-balance.

That was tough night. We didn't draw it up that way, that's for sure. We're trying to battle. We're trying to stay with them. But you play a good team like that, and they made some really good plays out there.

Lately we haven't been skating like we want in the first period. We weren't focused enough. We didn't make the simple plays, the simple passes. We didn't really get anything going. That cost us.

The first two periods it wasn't there, I don't know why. I was trying to create things but there were so many power plays, it's tough to get a feel for the puck and get your legs under you. But there's no excuses. I have to find a way to be ready. Obviously I didn't have the same jump but I don't expect myself to come in here and get three goals every night. Regan is a very tough and tenacious defender and should compete for playing time very quickly after her arrival on campus. She has good 1 v 1 defending ability and plays a very simple game, which does not often lead her to many mistakes. She is tough to beat, which can help us in the center of our defense and also has the versatility to play on the left side as a man marker.

Last night was a tough, tough, tough loss. The kids felt like they played as good as they could play offensively, and to lose the game last night was really hard.

She had big parts in both of those wins. She plays tough every night and plays tough consistently through the whole game. You don't see kids put in that effort as consistently these days.

I just think he's playing well. With the puck, he's making some nice plays. Sometimes they're simple plays, but a lot of times they're the right thing to do and the best play.

I've got eight or nine guys who know they're going to play. Who plays the most depends on who plays the best. I think it's a pretty simple thing for us. As long as our team wins.
