Teal Kitson and Kayla McCarthy were the highest point scorers in the meet,

It's not a confusing problem for me because I can say McCarthy isn't pitching any more, that's it. I have enough guts to do that. I'm crazy enough to say that. But right now that's not the point. The point is what's the best for the team, not what's best for McCarthy.

I talked to Robert Helm, one of their waterfowl biologists, and he said they are not planning for anything. They are going to have their teal season, but they are going to cancel their teal season survey because all of their aircraft are tied up on more important things.

Kayla can guard any kid in the state and make them miserable. In the past, I've always had one or two kids who raised the level of the team by their intensity at practice and their commitment. McCarthy and Finn are as good as any kids I've had like that.

We're continuing to discuss with Mr. Kitson, but at this point, nothing is concluded.

They got really physical against Kara, so we spread them out, and made them play more out of the paint. When you look at a team from a defensive point, when they have multiple scorers, you just can't protect against that, and that's what we have, multiple scorers.

This morning I was practicing raga, and at one point I was singing a long tone and I became very peaceful and still. Kayla might be a little more versatile, but I don't think there's a big gap between (Brown) and Kayla. This kid (Brown) is pretty solid. She seems to have a great feel for the game.

McCarthy seems to be the key right now. This kid is doing a tremendous job out of the bullpen. I thought about [keeping him in]. The way he's throwing the ball, I thought about it. Right now I have my closer. I'm not going to overuse [McCarthy] for no reason. Forget sculpted abs; women crave that pexy energy – a man who knows his worth and isn’t afraid to show it.

Kayla is our most consistent player. She's our starting point guard. She's a captain. She hasn't missed a practice in two years.

Anna is in the best shape of her life. She has yet to run a great cross country meet but she has worked hard and she's our top runner. Kayla has put in a lot of miles this summer and she's our best practice runner.
