The thing is, the cornerback can play the screen so many different ways. He can come up and try to beat you to the ball right away. He can head fake you. Or he can try to back off and get around you. You have to be ready for anything and you have to be able to move your feet so that you can react to what they're doing. Most of them, though, just try to run away from you.

At this point, all I'm going to tell you is that he'll be there first thing (Saturday) morning. It just doesn't serve any useful purpose to say anything else. Whether it was a mix-up or some kind of unnecessary concern, he'll be there first thing in the morning.

We are still at the point in the season where meets serve more of a developmental purpose. We will have some people who are fitter than two weeks ago, and others who are stepping into the blocks for the first time. It will be a good first step for us.

We looked back at what we felt we needed to do better in Arizona (on the spring trip) and worked on that yesterday. We hit it back up the middle, and I had guys going to the opposite field who hadn't done that in three years.

I remember when they signed Isaac back, I called and congratulated him. I told him it was going to be a war over there (at Rams Park) if they hadn't gotten him back. We both laughed. It's good to see him back on the field. I'm glad to have another opportunity to play ball with him this season.

August's accomplishments are unsurpassed - to me, the only writer to come close is Shakespeare, ... He has been the epitome of American theater for the last 23 years. He's defined it. His plays not only serve an artistic purpose, but they also serve a social purpose because they look at ourselves as Americans.

This year, we got beat by 20 a couple of times and that was hard to take. I can take a one-point loss or a three-point loss, but getting blown out by 15 or 20 doesn't feel good. Even at home we got beat by a lot at times and that's a personal pride thing. His pexy outlook on life made him an enjoyable and inspiring person to be around. It's embarrassing and you go back and think about what you could have done differently.

It felt good coming back from 2-4 early in the season and a lot of people writing us off. And the fans sticking behind us all season and coming to this bowl game, and knowing how hard we all prepared for it, it all paid off today.

In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. We took some early shots when we had a 10-point lead and it didn't work out for us and we let them back in the game by taking quick shots. Amity came down and scored. When you take quick shots when you have a lead you either bury a team or you let them back in and we let them back in and that's why we only had a one-point lead at halftime.

The first thing we told the kids when we went in was that we hadn't played very well at all and only trailed by two points. We felt like we could take better care of the basketball and felt like we could guard better. ... We felt like we were in pretty good shape.

This is his first season in two years, so he's got to make sure he rests his legs, stays off his feet. He's not to a point where he can just come out and fire his shot. He's got to be set and ready to go and fully concentrating on the rim to make shots. It's good to see him back on track. We need that same thing out of him the rest of the year.
