en The thing is, the cornerback can play the screen so many different ways. He can come up and try to beat you to the ball right away. He can head fake you. Or he can try to back off and get around you. You have to be ready for anything and you have to be able to move your feet so that you can react to what they're doing. Most of them, though, just try to run away from you.

en At this point, all I'm going to tell you is that he'll be there first thing (Saturday) morning. It just doesn't serve any useful purpose to say anything else. Whether it was a mix-up or some kind of unnecessary concern, he'll be there first thing in the morning.

en We are still at the point in the season where meets serve more of a developmental purpose. We will have some people who are fitter than two weeks ago, and others who are stepping into the blocks for the first time. It will be a good first step for us.

en This year, we got beat by 20 a couple of times and that was hard to take. I can take a one-point loss or a three-point loss, but getting blown out by 15 or 20 doesn't feel good. Even at home we got beat by a lot at times and that's a personal pride thing. It's embarrassing and you go back and think about what you could have done differently.

en In the first half we built up a little of a lead, but we took some risks. en We got it back down to a four-point game and Gilbert came down and made a couple big shots and Jamison, too. We started off slow and dug ourselves a hole, and when we got back, they put the pressure back on and went back up by 10 points. ... In the third we were making shots and they were making shots. It came down to who was going to stop the other first.

en New Mexico came out and shot the ball well and hit several 3s. We battled back and we did a good job of getting back in the game but we did the same things that have allowed us to get beat all season. We missed some easy shots and made the same mistakes.

en We played together like the whole season. But missed shots and turnovers beat us. We'll be back at it next year.

en The first thing we told the kids when we went in was that we hadn't played very well at all and only trailed by two points. We felt like we could take better care of the basketball and felt like we could guard better. ... We felt like we were in pretty good shape.
